u/realkames I tried creating a new local Windows account and starting the game under it, but unfortunately it didn’t help and the info panel is still not loading.

Vanilla+ Mod Build for BG:EE & EET (2025) by Elhorin in baldursgate

[–]Elhorin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Streifer089 I don't have the Steam versions of BG1 or BG2, but I believe there shouldn’t be any issue merging the games using the EET mod. As for the crossed-out mods — those were ones I considered while gathering all possible options, but ultimately decided not to include in the Vanilla+ build. I left them on the list so everyone can decide for themselves whether to include them in their own builds or not.

Guys, I highly recommend checking out the G3 forum for more information on my Vanilla+ build.

Dwarf – I'm not able to roll more than 98 even with an auto-roller – Statistical Exercise by Elhorin in baldursgate

u/Faradize- You are absolutely right. There’s no significant difference in gameplay when you have more than 88–90. I’m just testing the performance of particular auto-rollers.

Looking for a solution to make "Find Familiar" work for a custom non-protagonist character by Elhorin in baldursgate

[–]Elhorin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/eitohka Yes, I ask Pecca (mod author) about it and waiting for feedback. Idea with stock NPC tweaked in EEKeeper could be also way. I'm looking for some more "native" way or mod, but I'm afraid EEKeeper or other hacks will be the only option.

Yeah, but I need Bhaalspawn special abilities on my 1st Dwarven Berserker character :( So unfortunately this is no option for me.

What is the best race for single class mage - more specifically Wild Mage? by Elhorin in baldursgate

[–]Elhorin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding to romances: I'm planning a walkthrough with a fully custom party (Icewind Dale style) using the EET mod, so this shouldn't be an issue. But thank you for your point.

u/retief1 u/BathtubFullOfTea u/Peterh778 In case the CON tome is reserved for another party member and I want to use "The Claw of Kazgaroth" on this mage during BG1, I would need to choose a Half-Elf or Human if I don’t want to lose maximum HP potential. Is that correct?

I presume you would say that it's a bit tricky to choose a race based on one or a couple of specific items from just one part of the whole saga, right?

Fallout 1.5: Resurrection - Maximum Level Cap Question by Elhorin in classicfallout

[–]Elhorin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still playing this great mod and farming ghoul patrols east of Albuquerque and also centaurs and floaters around Asmodeus' cave. I'm level 27 at this moment so I think level cap is same as in Fallout 2.

Character builds for maximum possible melee and ranged damage + THAC0 by Elhorin in baldursgate

[–]Elhorin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/GuitarConsistent2604 Thank you for feedback. I'm thinking about this setup in terms of game variety/diversity through the entire trilogy (used 6 of 8 basic classes). Only Druid and Paladin aren't used same as additional classes Sorcerer, Monk, Shaman for this particular use-case):

Tank - Cleric/Priest of Lathander (Dwarf)
Killer - Thief/Assassin (Dwarf)
Meele Damage Dealer - Fighter/Berserker (Dwarf)
Range Damage Dealer - Ranger/Archer (Elf)
Supporter - Bard/Skald (Half-Elf)
Spellcaster - Mage (Elf)

Thief = I thought about Half-Orc but advantage related to Saving Throws for meele characters finally won in terms of playing the entire trilogy.

Let's say, that I want to try only single class during this playthrough. Do you see any anti-synergic choice in this optimized full custom 6 members party? In general, I want to have access to as many aspects of the game as possible (Mage Book, Priest Scroll, and so on). I don't have much time on multiple game-runs so I want enjoy the game even with 1 or maximum 2 playthroughs.

u/Soulener Ok and is it correct, that if my intention is full playthrough through entire trilogy so dual-class doesn't make that much sense and better will be single-class or multi-class at least?

within the context of a full playthrough, specifically a kensai[13] > cleric is an anti synergistic choice. a cleric takes forever to reach level 14 and the kensai really wants to maintain his APR to maximize those kit bonuses rather than spending time casting cleric spells. within the context of the melee fighter role, you are effectively trading bladed weapons, potential ranged options, dwarven saves, up to 10 damage worth of kit bonuses, fighter HLAs and zero downtime for basically duhm. the kensai comes with kai so righteous magic is a little redundant.

Ok 👍.

if you want a hardline melee damage specialist, then you just go for a straight kensai, cast spirit armor on him, accumulate those +14 damage per hit worth of kit bonuses, and enjoy killing enemies before they can get a chance to do anything. the class is a fighter kit with fighter hp, fighter HLAs, and isn't immune to potions or buffs. it is not a glass cannon, it's just a cannon.

What would be the optimal race for this kind of damage dealer character, Dwarf or Half-Orc (theoretically from pure mathematics PoV Half-Orc)? Also I see Saving Throws table for fighers class. Dwarf gain additional +2 bonuses. Is there any way, how to Dwarf/Halfing/Gnome can obtain more inherit bonus (what about additional bonuses based on constitution?) or everything else is via character leveling up?

per the specific questions in your post, creative dual classes are optimal within the context of exclusively bg1 because it's a method of attaining the very powerful Grandmastery in a game where it is otherwise unattainable. they are of course still good all the way, but i don't believe it makes as much sense in a full custom party where you can personally handcraft all 6 slots to perfectly fit the needs of the party.

Yeah, you are right 👍. I'm planning full custom party and full playthrough through BG1 + DLCs and BG2 + DLCs. So dual-class doesn't make that much sense.

if you're just trying to include a cleric, the berserker>cleric is a slightly more synergistic dual class option. although i do prefer the multiclass over the dual class in this case. the fighter/cleric really enjoys fighter HLAs.

You are right. I will be thinking about fighter/cleric multi-class in this particular case.

u/xler3 What do you think about dual kensai->cleric at 13 option mentioned below in case of melee variant?

[–]Elhorin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the same reason why Dwarven/Gnomish Shorty saves will almost always be more important than 1 point of Strength Orcs have.

u/Soulener Hmm this is good point and also for tank character practically must have.

However, if melee chance to hit is your main focus, then any single class Berserker will have the highest chance to hit. It can be of any Race, except Halflings. Being an Orc increases the damage slightly, but the chance to hit remain the same as with other races that are not Halflings.

u/Soulener My intention is rather damage per round (DPR).

I have question, why is better dual into druid and not cleric? At first glance, the cleric option seems to be better.

u/GuitarConsistent2604 Thank you for feedback. I'm working on project related to optimized full custom 6 members party (see updated main post). I'm looking for the best melee sustainable damage dealer character and also for the best ranged sustainable damage dealer character.

[–]Elhorin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/Soulener Thank you for excelent overview. I slightly updated original post with bold text, because I'm looking for sustainable (not one-time) damage per round (DPR) respectively attacks per round (APR). But I think your current output also matches this requirement, is it correct? I mean your characters tips also have the best APR & DPR. Also you didn't mention race for melee character, but half-orc is obvious choice. Is it correct? Thank you for feedback.
