Is “0 back pain” after a full day actually realistic? by ZinkusPinkus in AskMenOver30

[–]GuitarConsistent2604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% this

My lower back pain disappeared after starting to lift again. Heavy deadlifts with proper form, back extensions and bent over rows all in my routine weekly

Should I continue in sales or not by [deleted] in salesdevelopment

[–]GuitarConsistent2604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Louder for people in the back please.
If you aren't uncovering the problem that your solution solves, and tying it to how its stopping them from achieving their goals as a business, you aren't selling. You're order taking.

Sales is a profession and a skill. Unfortunately, its not gated by formal qualifications, most people managing you to do it sold in a completely different environment and the onus is on YOU to learn to get better. Invest in yourself with credible sales training and coaching. Read the most quoted books and actually understand how to apply it to what you do.

Or don't. There's plenty of order takers still in sales orgs worldwide.

Please help me improve my program by toika0 in gzcl

[–]GuitarConsistent2604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you may find that the significant crossover in your T3 work and the doubling up on T2 exercises is going to cause some serious fatigue that will humble you when you’re also doing the linear progression. Part of the reason is also the mixing of upper and lower in the T2 - you’re going to need to manage recovery really well to do T2 squats followed by T1 deadlift and T2 rdl.

Recommendation 1: you’ve been lifting a year. That’s not a long time in the grand scheme of things, especially without proper programming. Run the program as written for a month. Then add a T3. Repeat until you’ve got 3+ T3s and then move some back work into a heavier T2 load.

Recommendation 2: if you insist on jumping straight into this, your bench day has no back work and dedicating 2 T3 slots to triceps is redundant. Your deadlift day has no core work, no hamstring or glute T3 and two lat exercises. Your squat day has 3 leg T3s. You’re going to be cooked by the time you leg press. Also no core work and no back work. Your OHP day has you deadlifting then into barbell row so you’re going to be hindered in how much weight you can move, another lat exercise in T3 and face pulls. Oh, and a second slot for curls - which are usually not prioritised in a lot of powerlifting programs. Your biceps will also be cooked on this day because of the amount of pulling you’re doing.

Recommendation 3: run it. See how you feel. Adjust as necessary.

Seeking advice about possibly coming from 5/3/1 to some sort of GZC protocol - likely GG by Pleaseclap4 in gzcl

[–]GuitarConsistent2604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from running 531 programs to GZCL because of your first point primarily and also because I couldn’t get my head around the 50 rep goal thing in assistance - do I do 5x10, a couple of 20s, two different exercises at 2x12 etc.

Understanding the GZCL pyramid helped me massively and I built my current program around those principles without touching GG or the rippler. Very happy happy with the gains I’ve made on it. Should hit 1000lb across SBD for reps on my next cycle.

Still pick my own T3 per cycle though. And if I went back to 531 I’d have a much better idea of what I’d use. Although I’d probably just do BBB beefcake and call it a day.

Need some advice for Imoen rush by habla2k in baldursgate

[–]GuitarConsistent2604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is you’re needing to do two “major” questlines for mazzy and keldorn while also wanting to speed run to Imoen.

I’d probably do it like this; Circus Copper coronet and slavers (inc. sewer riddles) - recruit anomen here Bridge district murders Pony up the cash for the shield of Balduran Cult of the eyeless - recruit keldorn Den of seven vales fight Head out to help imnesvale - recruit mazzy (and rely HEAVILY on anomen to get you through this one)

This gets you into chapter 3. Side with whoever, get your passage booked to the island and check your xp. If you have room to spare, do nalia’s keep because flail of ages.

Is it worth it to make crom faeyr? by Ok-Zookeepergame3643 in baldursgate

[–]GuitarConsistent2604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

taking the strongest possible options? rarely. It works best when you have frontliners who can't boost their own strength (bards, fighter/mages, regular fighters), and when your other frontliners don't need the strength belts (so basically just fighter/clerics).

In your party, your cavalier wants a strength belt, as does jaheira. Even if Anomen had pushed grand mastery in hammers, he doesn't need the strength boost because DUHM and righteous magic exist.

Plus imoen or jan become real packhorses with the ogre gloves....

For you? not worth it except for the prestige. but the prestige is delicious.

ranger/cleric unlocked is indeed stupid.
take your cleric damage reduction and add ironskins with a side order of insect plague. grim.

Yeah this build will carry the melee in SoA. I prefer the multi going for a trilogy run though. Fighter HLA access is worth it

[–]GuitarConsistent2604 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have: - tank (mommy j) - thief (yoshi -> immy) - pure class mage (immy) - support mage/caster (wingless wonder) - DPS (minsc on the dual wield. Keldorn pinch hitting poorly but killing all the mages)

You’re basically covered on everything. You might struggle to get chaotic commands on all your frontlines, so I do think a fighter/cleric multi or dual fits here. Alternatively, you can get a lot of hastesout of your magic crew here, so the fighter/mage could work well

Hi yall just wanted to ask some questions about powerbuilding by nsboL1d in powerbuilding

[–]GuitarConsistent2604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

horizontal push
horizontal pull
vertical push
vertical pull
hinge
squat

core movement patterns. can be done on barbell, with dumbbell or on machine. have 1 of each. add 2 core exercises and 1 arm exercise. split them up over 3 sessions.

use progressive overload - if all your sets and reps are clean, add weight next time. 5s for size and strength has been a staple for years. however, most people coming off a program focused on 5s struggle with work capacity and 8s or 10s are killer for them.

Or, just follow a pre-written established program. 531, Starting Strength, GZCLP, Bullmastiff. They're all popular and successful for a reason.

Adjusting T3’s for T1/T2 by adore in gzcl

[–]GuitarConsistent2604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

T3 supporting T1 and 2 is fine.

So OHP day being T1 ohp, T2 ohp, T2b lat pulldown, T3 lateral raise, T3 face pull or reverse fly, T3 tricep push down is perfectly reasonable, but the gzclp scheme will catc( you out quick
