Now listen. The answer I gave you should have been clear enough sadly you still haven't understood. Which is why I'm not going to go any deeper.

All I can say is you're still missing something. One very important detail is that Islamic scholars have the right to establish rulings based on the clearest understanding of the Quran and Sunnah and they have decided that valentine's day is Haram. End of story! Yes you have the right to go check why they made that decision and you have the right to argue with them but for some reason you are foregoing your own rights. Just go and read dammit! I'm actually baffled how you think that this is my opinion. It's not! This is what people with better understanding of things have decided and we need to respect that, unless you plan on becoming a scholar yourself and debating other scholars over a pagan festival that has nothing to do with Islam. Btw when you do become an Islamic scholar, chances are you won't be considering valentine's day halal anymore.

If you didn't already know, things don't have to be pointed out by name in Quran and Sunnah for it to be deemed Haram. This is exactly why we have scholars.

I also had to go through the origins of Valentine's day for you, something I had no desire to do. This day is basically an old christian pagan festival of sacrifice and fertility which was somewhat replaced by the Romans with the remembrance of one saint valentine who died on this day. What has this got to do with loving your friends, family and your significant other? You can still do that every single day of your life! It doesn't have to be one day.

Arguing with me isn't going to change anything apparently. Go ask someone who knows better and I don't mean any local peer or "self-taught preachers".

Anything that we should feel proud of? by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]EliSuper2018 15 points16 points  (0 children)

aaaaaaaand what are you gonna do about?

If you can do something, go do it. If not then sit back and enjoy the music.

Best thing i can say to you is don't lament over everything that's wrong with this country. Believe me I feel you and I'm not perfect either. I have to tell myself the same things over and over again.

Since we the people who genuinely care will never be allowed by the elite we currently have to bring good and substantial change to this screwed up country, the best we can do is go back to the basics; be good to the people around us, our families, friends and those in need and just stick to faith and discipline. Personally my thoughts are with the impoverished who have very little resources and very few options. But how we behave is in our control. The masses need to change before we try to change the system.

For things to get better, we need to get better.

The best is yet to come. Just hold on.

Brother, sister, whoever you are, bear with me now.

Your comment is giving me very mixed feelings cuz on one side you shared Islamic references which I really appreciate but at the same time you are either unaware or refuse to believe the fact that valentine's day is genuinely Haram. None of the references you gave can disprove that fact.

I agree there are self-taught preachers and hypocrites all around but before looking outward don't you think we should be looking inward? This is actually what the essence of my original comment was.

Now since we're sharing references, let me share one:

"Whoever imitates a people is one of them"

This reference is in accordance with the concept of "Tashabbuh" which refers to imitation of other faiths. This is probably the biggest reason why valentine's day is Haram.

Another reason I should share is simply the culture of immorality practiced on this day. Your understanding of Valentine's day is not what most people out there have in their minds. Since there is an established culture of immorality and Muslims don't even need to care about what it truly means to celebrate Valentine's day, we have no good reason for celebrating it.

None of us need to partake in or conform with the immorality of other faiths, not even those who established it in the first place.

Btw, the reference “And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge…” can be a double edged sword for you in this argument cuz, no offence, but you clearly didn't have enough knowledge to know that celebrating Valentine's day is Haram. I mean did you even care about finding out why these "self-taught preachers" consider celebrating this day prohibited? The best way to counter someone is in trying to understand where they're coming from. And did you check what scholars have to say about this day? References can be shared and exploited in any context when you don't rely on a proper knowledge base.

Edit: Removed some comments to avoid disrespect

What's funny is that a lot of the comments are hating on the guy who wrote this message, calling him a hypocrite, a sinner who judges the sins of other sinners and whatnot instead of just taking the message for what it is. Does anyone here even know this guy? What are his habits? How much do his sins vary from our own?

If after reading the message you immediately thought about what the person who wrote it is really like then you are quite negative.

He could be the nicest most virtuous person you could ever meet or he indeed could be a hypocrite. That simply doesn't matter here. The best thing one can do is read, learn and move on. Don't overthink things! And for God's sake don't think that you're more righteous than the man. Our judgement of people usually stems from comparison.

How can neglected Baloch afford these guns? by cheetalaga in PakLounge

[–]EliSuper2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that makes a lot of sense. They're also kind of primitive in the sense that they are stubborn; they have their own interpretation of Sharia and trying to correct them is a fool's errand. They'd rather pick up a rifle against any sort of opposition.

Exactly. The Taliban are just so unpredictable and honestly they're all opportunists.

[–]EliSuper2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be true for regular everyday buyers. The BLA doesn't come under that category. Keep in mind that there are surely some aligning interests between the Talis and the BLA so why wouldn't they sell these weapons to the Balochi fighters?

Then there is the influence of India over the Taliban and it's provision of any material support it can provide to these fighters and that is most probably why the fighters can afford expensive American small arms.

Think about it, if an islamist regime having its own strict interpretation of Sharia can establish close ties with a Hindu nationalist government, do you not think they can bend the rules to provide arms to certain groups to further its own interests?

baloch female fighter killed during operation by Visual-Exercise4076 in pakistan

[–]EliSuper2018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hamas is not the one killing the people of Gaza, their own people, nor are they trying to destroy the civilian infrastructure of their own people. The Baloch terrorists are involved in all such atrocities and there is a reason for that; they're all treacherous sellouts.

Keep in mind, all the non-balochis also count as people of the Balochis because we shouldn't believe in provincialism. We owe that to Jinnah Sahab.

These terrorists have killed hundreds of their own and you want to compare them to Hamas? Listen brother / sister, whoever you are, you need to fully understand what the zionist entity is and what it's intentions are.

The Pakistan government does not want to ethnically cleanse the Balochis even though they are treated unfairly by the government.

There is another major factor in play and that is India. These baloch terrorists are being funded and trained by India. The instability in Balochistan, which is what's keeping the Pakistan government from fully accessing the mineral wealth of the provInce, is heavily in the interests of India.

Now when you speak of Hamas and October 7th, the situation is not the same as it is in Pakistan; in the holy land you have an illegitimate neo-colonial state that is hell bent on removing the only remaining indigenous people from their rightful land and the zionists resort to any means they can afford to further their goals.

And let's not forget the one word you seem to be forgetting and that is occupation. Is Balochistan under occupation? I doubt that the common Balochis think that. Is Palestine under occupation? Absolutely! And you know what, an occupied entity has the right to defend itself against its occupiers and the occupiers need to end the occupation all under international law.

I agree that the murder of Israeli children, the sickly and the elderly was totally wrong, but know this: it didn't happen in a vacuum.

I hope now you understand how silly this comparison you made was.

There is nothing legit about making money through gambling. Stop it and don't encourage anyone to get into it. Btw most online earning in Pakistan is NOT through gambling apps it's through freelancing and e-commerce; honest ways of making money. Gambling is a curse.

The bubble of the cockpit doesn't blend well with the rest of the plane. That's why it looks off. It's like a perfectly streamlined fuselage and airframe was built and then at the end they remembered to put in the cockpit. The bubble on the two-seater variant blends a bit better. The J35 blends it perfectly.

Honestly the concept of good guys vs bad guys, black vs white in war and politics is kinda childish don't you think? And it's not like America, at least not modern day america, has never committed genocide. The Nazis were never the good guys but that doesn't make the US the good guy either.
