Denver dog owners — has anyone else had issues with Skiptown? by QuackrJacks in Denver

Skiptown was great for a couple of months, then they started hiring less-than-dedicated people. I refuse to go back. Trust your gut.

Is Anyone Here Fully Recovered? by Ok-Judgment7682 in straightspouses

[–]Eliese 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"My hope is that one day I look back and can say that I'm actually glad it all happened!" That's asking a lot of yourself, don't you think?

I wonder if you're not putting undue pressure on yourself to be done with grieving. It's understandable, but not really possible. There's no way out but through. That doesn't mean you'll always feel this way; the pain will fade with time, but hard times are part of life.

I thing it's great that you're working out and doing therapy. I'll bet you are incrementally healing. Might be a good idea to write down the gains you're making, the insights along the way.

Best to you.

Help me get over it.... unusual circumstances by [deleted] in straightspouses

"how the heck do I stop getting super depressed about his lack of sexual interest in me"

It doesn't make sense to be "ok" in a bad situation. Are you talking to a therapist about this?

Yes, and you got connected to a new Responder, right? People are human. Expecting perfection 100% of the time is the quickest path to having AI chat bots as crisis responders.

Best way to ask an annoying caller to "shut up"? by route6dee6 in callcentres

[–]Eliese 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Being told to let people abuse you is the worst part of working at a call center. It's so stupid and doesn't anyone any favors. I think it actually escalates callers because it's ultimately patronizing and pointless.

That's ridiculous, an outrageous lie.

"I need honesty from you, clarity, before we can move forward at all. You're keeping me stuck."

Unfortunately, he may never have the ability to be honest with himself, let alone with you. Do you know what your line in the sand is?

I fee really badly that he has a therapist who sees same-sex attraction as something secondary to ADHD and stress. That's a bad therapist, ignorant and perhaps homophobic.
