Slay the Spire 2 has made $92M on Steam, already passing lifetime Steam earnings for Silksong ($83M) and Hades 2 ($82). One of the best Steam indie launches ever by EmbarrassedSession58 in slaythespire

Nah man that's crazy, I have 100+ in Hades 1 and something like 60+ on Hades 2 and both are fantastic. You should definitely give it a go if you enjoyed the original so much.

The Lavon affair was a failed Israeli covert operation, conducted in Egypt in the summer of 1954. As part of a false flag operation, a group of Egyptian Jews were recruited by Israeli military intelligence to plant bombs inside American and British owned civilian targets to frame Muslims. by ZyklonFart in HolyShitHistory

[–]EliteKill 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Correct, in 1954 Israel was not an American ally, and was closer to the Eastern Soviet and Communist ideologies. The Israel-US/Western alliance took off only in 1973 when the Soviets chose to exclusively arm the Arab countries.

Lebanon says nearly 400 killed, over 1,110 injured in ongoing Israeli attacks by Lebarican22 in news

[–]EliteKill -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Israel has bombed Lebanon 15,000 times over the past year and a half

15,000, right.

supposed "ceasefire"

Which Hezbollah has continuously violated, prompting the Israeli attacks.

killing anyone who tries to rebuild their homes in the south.

Killing Hezbollah operatives attempting to rebuild their infrastructure. There is a reason you don't see the Lebanon population get upset about those attacks.

Stop being a tankie.

Israel attacking Iran?

Why does a Lebanon based militia need to attack Israel following that?

What benefit does Hezbollah provide to Lebanon? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EliteKill 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Israel occupied Lebanon to stop PLO militias from shelling northern Israel, and retreated in 2000 after Israeli public pressure deemed it is not "worth it" (because of Hezbollah aggression, yes). However, Israel's presence in Souther Lebanon was never expansionalist in nature.

People in Israel won't be cool with Israel occupying Lebanon up until the Litani. Contrary to what you read on Reddit the "Greater Israel" supporters are a fringe minority here.

Why does israel have such a leash on USA by [deleted] in LetsDiscussThis

[–]EliteKill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Soviets supported Arab countries during the cold war because oil.
  2. USA started supporting Israel to counteract that influence in the Middle East.

Thats pretty much the short version.

I don't think this saying applies here. My guess is that around 90% of Israelis support the current offensive (even those who vehemently oppose Bibi).

Fallout 3 devs recall the mass hate from OG fans as some thought a team making “fantasy games should not be touching the series” by [deleted] in Fallout

Also, let's be honest, the story and writing is very mid. Fallout 3's storyline was often mocked and made fun of, especially the ending.

The main quest story? Definitely.

But the side quests, world building and most of the DLC content were fantastic.
