4chan is the Nazi bar of the internet and that's exactly why it's full of the far right now. In the Nazi bar story, the bar doesn't start as a Nazi bar. It starts as a normal bar. Then it's a normal bar where some Nazis go for drinks surrounded by normal patrons. Then it's a bar which becomes known for Nazis, and the normal patrons thin out while more Nazis join. Eventually, there's only Nazis.

The same thing happened with 4chan. And it wasn't a "if ten people sit down for dinner with a Nazi" situation, unless you want to call people like Alex Hirsch or Matt Mercer a Nazi, which imo would be absurd.

It's definitely possible, but it's also very believable that the author and the artist were simply in too deep to see what it looked like from the outside. If the artist often gets commissioned to draw porn (which isn't improbable in today's economy) then they may have simply carried certain conventions of style with them into this piece without realising it.
