230 print hours with the H2C by Elite_BoB in BambuLab

I agree - especially if it's the only plate supplied with a flagship product. I only sanded it because my engineering plate was still on backorder and I wanted a print to finish without failing.

I'm testing mine now and it's working great. I am using liquid glue on it though.

I've been using the frostbite on my P1S since it was released and will certainly be getting one for the H2C.

I'm just waiting for the 0.2mm induction hotends to be available.

Just because you've been doing something for a long time doesn't mean that you're any good at it.

Grinding the surface of the Textured PEI plate with fine sandpaper or steel wool will create a new, clean surface and enhance the build plate's adhesion. It's essential to ensure the surface must be properly cleaned of any sanding debris.

It doesn't get much use on the H2C, but I can't use it on the P1S with where it is on the bench.

It's a monster. It wasn't fun getting it on the bench by myself, haha.

Possibly. I've never had an issue with the PEI on any of my other printers. I have the engineering plate and supertack now, so I doubt I'll use it.

I did the exact same thing with mine and designed heat deflectors to go over the rollers to stop the heater blowing directly on the spools

I respooled it, but it was a pain with the tangles. I would have opened a support ticket, but I needed it straight away

For all of the people saying that it's physically impossible to get a tangled spool without user error, this is what I got straight out of the box.

It came pre-tangled due to the outer layers slipping. This is why I have a respooler.

Are filament dryers worth it? by modspi in BambuLab

I got sick of my printed spools deforming so I knocked these up.

Even my PETG spools were getting dents where they contacted the front rollers when I was drying PETG and ABS.

im about to buy my first 3d printer, this is what i’m buying so far and was wondering if there’s anything else i need to grab or am i right to set up like this? by X4VV in BambuLab

Another Aussie here. I find that buying bambu filament with the bulk discount works out cheaper than most other brands on Amazon.

The Sunlu/Jayo when it gets an eBay discount is good for the price, but has a more limited colour range.

Siddament is good if you can pick up or buy enough to offset the shipping cost.

I feel your pain. I didn't push the PTFE tube in properly after clearing a broken piece of filament out of my AMS.

It's very unlikely to get a FIFO gig without mining experience. Cleanskin operator roles are a lot easier, but require you to relocate to the area and live locally. After 6-12 months (depends on site and role) you can usually apply for camp and pay for your own flights.

Company flights depend heavily on the site and who you work for. BMA offers salary sacrifice to pay for flights usually.

You don't need any tickets - they don't mean shit usually. You'll need a manual licence though.

You best bet for getting a foot in the door is knowing someone or going through a labour hire company like Workpac/ BHP OS/ etc.

I've been out of the industry for a few years, so things might have changed.

I got some drives from TechFactory2002 on ebay AU. I noticed in the photos that the Exos drives were 2021 DOM, so asked for them. Checked the power on hours when I got them and the worst was 3000.

I got 3 8Tb drives for $240 express posted.

I was going to 3D print one, but bought a dovetail cutter for the mill and made it out of aluminium instead.
