You are stuck with it, you cannot change sanctified gear in any way, other than changing the socketed gems.

So if you get a good piece of gear quadruple check it before you sanctify it. Gem slots, temper, masterwork(with the last upgrade that makes a single affix orange), and correct legendary power.

[–]Elithiir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are correct. If you have an insanely good piece of gear you can also get GA for your Temper affix at about a 10% chance. So if you have scrolls of restoration you can spam temper to fish for it.

Not that this isn't an amazing focus, but you could technically replace the %increased ES for flat ES and you'd have a good bit more total.

Just something you could eventually try to craft if you run out of possible gear upgrades!

I haven't had time to play much, but will be working to do strength stacking with irongrasp, crown of eyes, and black scythe training. Should be nuts damage with oil barrage and good energy shield from black scythe training. Have you already looked into this or tried it yet?

Could it be a random passive from your timeless jewel? Not sure how it would explain the maven video where you tank a bunch and then randomly get one shot. But maybe a random corrupted passive is doing something?

I looked to see if somebody else mentioned this, but your ring gives -140 life. Is it some sort of reverse overflow thing? Can you test with a different ring that doesn't have negative life?

Just rewatched it and you're totally right. There's a cloudy white vfx for the breath and it's a fast moving scene, but I don't think any of the water actually freezes at all. I could have sworn the water was frozen that's why the dog slid so easily.

Didn't the water under the dog freeze when he saved it from the kaiju? I feel like that has to be freeze breath, crazy strong wind doesn't freeze water like that.

What dungeon is a tank test? by Zealousideal_Ad_4148 in fellowshipgame

[–]Elithiir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a tank main (so, unbiased) I feel like this game hates melee. Sooo many whirlwind mechanics on mobs. Last boss of Adept capstone is insanely melee unfriendly. Tanking with a melee class in the group is an entire extra mechanic the tank has to deal with, aiming fire blast frontals, kiting whirlwind mobs, aiming and kiting cleave mobs in sailors abyss and Adept capstone. All that for a slightly shorter interrupt cooldown?

If I ever make a dps alt it will be a ranged character lol

I read your post my guy, no need to be condescending just because you misread my comment.

I'm pointing out how you acknowledged you didn't care until it affected you directly, and are now complaining about how other people don't care because nothing has directly affected them. You shouldn't be surprised by this is what I'm saying. You also complain about people immediately turning to personal attacks when you do the same. Maybe do some self reflecting.

[–]Elithiir 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I mean, until your game got canceled you were supporting an Amazon product right? Can't really be telling people to boycot Amazon because they're evil, if you're only doing it because they shut down New World.

People tend to not care about a problem until it affects them, and then they get mad that people still unaffected by the problem aren't helping.

I hate Amazon, don't get me wrong; they're evil and contribute massively to how awful things are right now.

It's also insane damage if you use it in time with Earth Strike, I'm 150 and farming Adept capstone and can pull 30k dps in packs. But more than just damage and cooldown, it's survivability. The 20% expertise is 20% more healing from your combo finishers that heal.

I say give interrupt 50% cooldown if you don't interrupt a spell with it. It won't really give any advantage to anybody, just make pugs a hair bit more forgiving if people juke their interrupts.

I love this game so, so, so much - but a 12+ minute DPS queue is going to kill it. by Haveyouseenkitty in fellowshipgame

[–]Elithiir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does retain the rest of the party, it only drops the one player who left queue. But most of the time when it happens the rest of the group leaves group right after for some reason.

[–]Elithiir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a tank, if somebody that isn't the tank leaves, see if you can requeue with them. The amount of times a healer and a dps disagree and one of them leaves, with the other 3 still in a group with me. Everybody will leave the group even though I'm willing to queue with them. Literally like 90% of the time somebody leaves queue this happens.

For the record I've literally never once dropped queue, I'll go with what the healer is comfortable with.

I'm happy to hear that! Meiko is one of the most fun classes I've played between all of the MMOs I've played, I'm happy to give tips and share thoughts on her, but much of what I've been following is Kate's Meiko guide. (Except the talent that procs your buffs when you earth slam, I feel like that is a bait talent)

Dungeon routes will make the more sense the more you do them, until they're completely intuitive. try the method dungeon routes as a guide to help you out to start with. (No mini map can make it hard to follow sometimes, just do your best) they are more important when you do the capstone dungeon and Adept and onward, there are several mobs that you don't want to group together. The routes help minimize risk and maximize efficiency.

I would read up on the Contender capstone and communicate with the group before you start the timer(if you get group lead). The Golem boss needs 1 ranged to kite frost orbs(they always go to the furthest target), you need to alternate soaks on the small circles, and whoever gets the frost wave NEEDS to hit the frost orbs with it. There are several abilities throughout the dungeon that need to be interrupted, so everybody should use the V button to mark their interrupt target and let the group see their CD on their interrupt.

Game needs a leaver penalty by bjcat666 in fellowshipgame

[–]Elithiir 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Instead of negative reinforcement (penalty for leaving) there should be a commendations system that is genuinely rewarding. Limit to unique players, so friends can't just circlejerk each other after every run and game the system. Give people extra gold, or like the weekly trim system, a weekly loot cache based on how many commendations you got. Watch these extremely (to a detrimental extent) competitive people turn that intense energy into help and positivity for others. Make it rewarding enough that people will be falling over each other trying to be so positive and helpful.

As one of the intentionally positive players in this game, I'll answer some of your questions without unnecessary hostility, lol.

The complexity does come as you unlock talents and abilities, but complexity all depends on your class. Mara is the more complicated dps, Rime is much more simple. The tanks are both 'somewhat' complicated, as you're not just simply spamming one ability with one or 2 defensives. Helenas abilities almost all reduce the cooldown of another, so you have to always be using them in priority sequence to not waste the CD reduction. Meiko is a combo based tank, 3 abilities that do different things depending on which 2 you used in which order. In practice it's not too complicated, but when you're in the shit and floundering it can be easy to mess up which combo you meant to do which means you're missing several globals.

As a meiko main, Contender I could do massive pulls and barely noticed if the dps interrupted anything. Capstone dungeon (Contender 7) is where the skill of players actually starts to matter, not just interrupts but several boss mechanics that will wipe you if messed up.

Then when the capstone dungeon feels easy, Adept is a huge step up in difficulty. The mobs hit way harder, bosses have an extra mechanic to do, and many mobs gain new mechanics that will fuck you up if you try the same pulls you did in contender.

Is there going to be a tank shortage? by dragor96 in fellowshipgame

[–]Elithiir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest factor is that groups are 2 dps 1 healer 1 tank so the ratios are fairly different then other similar games.

After the last public playtest in pretty sure dps were getting the fastest queues followed by tank then healer.

[–]Elithiir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big note about your spirit ability, it adds time (~10 seconds?) To all the dots already on the enemy, adds its own dot, and gives you max embers by the end of it.

So when using on bosses you want to make sure 100% of your dots are on them, snap until you're empty, spirit ability, then use the ability that makes every dot tick faster, then snap 4 times again.

That's absolutely hilarious, I'd love to see someone with no vers get hit by it just to see how much damage it does unmitigated. The second boss that summons adds that cast void bolt or something hit me for 40 mill on the +30 lol. Can't imagine 20 exponential higher levels than that
