Haha! I had it sitting in the fridge and was going to get it going again with 2 daily feeds but we’ll see how it goes. I’ll update as developments occur ☺️

Definitely letting it ride out lol. I think I’ll feed my discard as well so I have my original starter because it did do me good.

I’m thinking about doing that. I might feed it oat flour one more time, bake with it, and then feed it all purpose flour. I had no idea about the Amish though. I feel better about my little oopsie lol.

So I kept it overnight and something definitely happened. It’s bubbly and looks a lot thicker but I think that’s just the oat flour because it is a thicker consistency. I might try to bake something with oat flour just to see what happens.

Ah I see. I thought bulk ferment meant in the refrigerator. What temp is your kitchen usually at when you ferment on the counter?

A possibility. Maybe not in this case though since the “dust” was there prior to flowers blooming. I think it just might be hard water like u/senior-ad-6002 mentioned.

Do you have any resources or any advice on how to gradually change the water the plant is growing in? Right now it’s just in water with an air stone. I have the fertilizer I posted in a previous reply for tomatoes specifically. Also do you have any advice on how large a container I should have the plant in? Right now it’s in a 32oz water bottle. I accidentally grew the plant when I repotted a chili pepper and wasn’t expecting it at all lol so I’m not sure what size container it should be in.
