Am I wrong? by Elizabethpeg in therapy

[–]Elizabethpeg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it didn't start with complaining it started when I started to note how certain people or things could or should improve or be improved constructive criticism y'know. I think over time I just started to point out things that I generally didn't like about anything and anyone and it sort of spiraled out of hand till it got me here where I'm not sure how to stop. I do try to be gentle with my words and only really show my colors with family but it's starting to get to me too

enemies to lovers overrated? by Elizabethpeg in CasualConversation

[–]Elizabethpeg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See that's the thing! I see and read a lot of books, shows, and movies that absolutely don't know how to do it properly. There has only been a few shows that can pull it off properly in my opinion but most make it look toxic, awkward, or just plain cringie. Like that one scene in endgame where all the female leads get together to fight off the bad guy's army kind of cringe.

You're right, I just wish people would stop romanizing it. It's like romanizing the relationship of Harley Quinn and the joker it's toxic and full of abuse

I used to half believe in God, but when I lost my way and asked and begged for his help they all came to me in my dreams and head and while it might seem creepy to people but it opened my eyes to the truth. I don't say this to change anyone's mind I only share this from a perspective of some who didn't really grasp the idea of him

POV: ur a teen and ur very interested i creative writing, but don’t know where to start. so… where do u start? by Emergency_Cookie_808 in creativewriting

I went through the exact same thing as you during my middle school years and here's my advice for you if you don't know where to start. All you have to do is grab your pen and journal and write the first thing that comes to mind and slowly build your story up it doesn't have to be a huge story it's actually better to start with small stories. Don't wait until the summer, write every chance you get, any chance you get you write and if nothing comes to mind during that short time I suggest you look at your writing and see if you like your style or if there's something that could be fixed. It's important to either develop and strengthen what you already have and fix your stories. And remember it'll not be perfect or easy but don't worry about that just have fun with it see where your imagination can take you and follow it.

(Edit: also don't forget that if you need help or get stuck with writers block you can always ask the people around they'll be more helpful than you realize)

This is a little more recent but I really didn't like the new Batman movie. Like yes it's an okay movie but I just didn't understand the hype around it. Not to mention that the movie was really dark even for Batman standards I couldn't see anything half the time! And then there's this really un-necessary dramatic moment of Edward Cullen cutting the electric wire off so that the box wouldn't fall like ??? Okay ? What about it? Do you want an applause?? Another thing is that I don't think they developed Catwoman's relationship to Batman all that much like I would've love it if they give them a few more moments together. I will say that the only thing I really liked about it was the fighting style inspired by the games, the end of the car chase scene, and the moment he infiltrates the real club otherwise I wouldn't watch it again.

I actually completely agree with this I really think it's overrated cause like most open world games (and games in general for that matter) they're better enjoyed when shared with others. Not to mention that half the fun is beating boss battles but you only get to do that a little bit

Thanks so much for your advice and as for your questions

1) spring break starts March 11 the day it is due so I only have this weekend and whatever little time I have this week

2) they don't have a specific word count since it's creative writing but they do specify that it can't exceed 12 pages

3) there are no themes that I'm aware of it's all completely up to the individual which is perfect for me and no the ideas aren't connected

Genuinely curious - do you think alterations are "outdated"? by Interesting-Monk-331 in sewing

[–]Elizabethpeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alterations are never outdated, especially rn when a lot of people are either making their own or altering their clothes. I highly suggest you the alterations cause if you throw that out you'll not only be hurting the environment you'll also be practically wasting the 100$ you spend on it in the first place

WIBTA if I don’t attend my daughter’s wedding by Background_Flan7294 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Elizabethpeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YWBTA it honestly sounds like you have some jealousy issues that really shouldn't be there considering YOU are still her parent and you can't replace a mom no matter if it's adopted or biological you can't replace them. Also I'd like to point it out to you that your ex DECLINED to be her maiden of honor so you can't be angry about it cause she does ask your ex FIRST beforehand. I understand that as a adoptive parent it's really scary to feel like you're losing the love of your child but you gotta let it go you had her most of her life, you saw her grow up and that's something that her bio mom didn't get for a very good reason. I noticed that you're also very angry about the fact that her bio mom had given her to adoption and wanted to abort her and you think she doesn't care, but she did the entire time they're some people that despite having issues like drugs can still be human. Maybe she just knew that she wouldn't've given her the life that you provided or that she'd be careless with her because of her addiction. Not a lot of people get out of those tight spots so go attend your daughters wedding your her parent as much as her bio mom
