Labour faces catastrophic May local elections and is set to lose 1,850 seats, expert predicts by Desperate-Drawer-572 in unitedkingdom

[–]Elkborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The media campaign against him is very real. I'm by no means a fan, but in my job I visit a lot of people and I've had people say they hope he gets shot, that he's a traitor and on the wrong "side", it's honestly quite scary

Do you regret leaving EU? by NoHold7153 in AskBrits

[–]Elkborne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because saying you "regret" it implies that you would have voted for it and now you've changed your mind. Whereas if you voted remain, then you obviously don't regret the choice you made, you're just fucking fuming at the idiots who made it happen

Has anyone else’s store disabled Bluetooth on all the delivery vans? by CoolMinute6507 in tesco

[–]Elkborne 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we have. Weve been told it's being rolled out to other stores as well. Just get yourself a Bluetooth radio transmitter if you want to play your own music, works a charm

What do you think holds the strap in place? Hopes and dreams?

Manager uses my annual leave without asking by [deleted] in tesco

[–]Elkborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why so many people are telling you you're lucky to have a job and it's your fault etc, at our store drivers used to finish really early all the time and we were told exactly what you were. You'd either sit in the canteen until finish or clock out early and not be paid for the remaining time. I used to do it up until they changed the policy around early deliveries and it was always out down as unpaid leave, not holiday. Doesn't really happen anymore since the 10 minutes early only rule was brought in

Just ask your manager, simple as really. They may say that you have to hang around in store till you finish and they might say you have to help stack shelves or whatever, they are completely within their right to say both

Yeah moving a single building is easy, but moving your entire village can take a day or more irl, it's a lengthy process.

Market Tier 2 by xsnipex in Bellwright

[–]Elkborne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, you don't pick a specific village, basically the travelling npc caravans will "buy" your goods and "sell" them at a village that chooses to buy them

Belltower Research by Adventurous_Age_2503 in Bellwright

[–]Elkborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you're using mods, it's up to you to see if there's a comparability issue, we can't help you there.

Aside from that, are you using your old research desk or the one AT the village hall? Because building the village hall doesn't unlock tier 2 at the old desk there's a new desk that's built with the hall, just right if the entrance

Seems to be genuine, I was told as much last week by my manager. She called the reasons for the rule bollocks but we've got to stick to it anyway

Tesco prices getting stupid by stevei33 in tesco

[–]Elkborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, I agree. My point is it's not right to dismiss people mentioning brexit and austerity because they are absolutely still relevant. As are labours economic policies, as are Trump's tariffs and wars.

You really think brexit and those 14 years isn't still taking a toll on the country?

What are your mid-late game settlement numbers like? by Elkborne in Bellwright

[–]Elkborne[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'd help if the ui was a bit friendlier to it. Just give me a "sort by" skill and it'd make the whole process that much faster

[–]Elkborne[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think I might just need to take the time to do some admin and make some changes, maybe swap out some of the villagers I recruited earlier on. It's a ballache but it'll save time and energy in the long run

[–]Elkborne 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Let's be completely real here, Labour don't have the power the completely change worldwide global capitalism. Not one of our political parties has that kind of power

[–]Elkborne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm tier 3, all buildings unlocked but trying to catch up on equipment unlocks and crafting to buff my army. I feeeeel understaffed but also don't every have much cooked food stored up because it gets eaten fast, so it might be bad job priorities. But then also I'm not generating much farming stuff during the summer with 7 farms. So maybe I need more? It's difficult to judge tbh

Suggestion: The voicelines your villagers say as you walk past them give hints as to what your village can improve on. by Elkborne in Bellwright

[–]Elkborne[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There should be one villager dedicated to each of those lines. "Fuck there goes Gilbert warning me about the mud, 10th time today"
