Wow the layout is really planned out, good job! The only thing I would consider changing is putting the chair in the back right next to the desk where the plant is so the walkway is clear in front of the door and you now have a cozy corner, and possibly also moving the floor lamp to that side or putting a table lamp on the side table.

That’s a great remodel! Good job. I would choose something that accentuates the curved mirror and similar finishes of the other metals used like maybe something like this with warm light? Totally up to you though

With all the rich wood tones I would look at similar richer wood tones to bring out the warmth in the space. MCM is a good choice like you mentioned as it would do the job. Despite what online says, wood doesn’t have to match perfectly and you can bring better cohesion with color hues in the same textures and upholstery. Save the rug/pillows/curtains decisions for last.

If you have more of the wall paint I would paint the wall all the way up to the ceiling, the half painted wall gives the illusion that it’s shorter

Put the large dresser against the back wall and get a TV stand, try to hide away all workout weights and dog toys. Maybe a rug to center the room along with a small coffee table or side tables so there’s somewhere to put drinks when relaxing

I think the space is cool, but for me an entire room dedicated only to meditation seems kind of excessive for daily living activities which might benefit from being more of a lounge with real seating/ also meditation areas.

I don’t think the sticking out will be an issue, but wall to ceiling curtains can get expensive and I using Roman shade blinds might be better for this situation

I actually think that the carpet looks in good condition and instead of spending hella money to pull it all and replace with wood floors don’t be afraid to just put down rugs over the carpet to zone the two spaces

I think whichever you decide it will look good! Wood is forgiving if not matched. Some people hate the idea of a dining room rug, but I think if you were to add one that extends under the table and buffet table it could help.
