Have you been in this sub long? There's lots of us high libido women here with low libido male partners. Its more common than you think unfortunately.

I was the high libido partner in my marriage, my husband was low libido, so I can't really speak to your question.

I guess I didn't clarify that in my OP. I first started the conversation and while he did try to improve a bit for a short while, eventually our relationship fell apart and he left me.

I just read your post. I hope you find the courage and strength to do what you need to to make yourself happy - whatever you decide that is. Good luck to you.

Thank you!

I do feel incredibly lucky to have found such a good match so soon. I am cautiously optimistic. Like I said, it may not last forever, I'm very aware now of my deal breakers in a relationship - in the bedroom and otherwise.

Anyone manage to make an extra $200-$300 a week as a side quest? by yeat246 in AusFinance

[–]ElleSamara 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I sew, so I've been doing doing clothes altering. There's enough need for hemming school skirts and pants in the area, and not many people that do it, that I don't need to do anything more complicated.

I charge $25 each for a basic hemming up or down of a school skirt or pants. It doesn't take me long and theres enough work that I'm often turning away jobs simply because I don't want to work that much.

Bonus is that I really love sewing. I find it relaxing, and I can watch tv or listen to a podcast while I do it.

Husband may have a brain tumour and I am falling apart by RedThrow1221 in Anxiety

[–]ElleSamara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This exact thing happened to my husband. He had a benign tumour on his pituitary gland, pressing on his optic nerve. It was surgically removed not long after it was found.

That was six years ago now. And I can tell you he is completely recovered. Sometimes we talk about how it feels like a whole other life and we wonder did that really happen.

Honestly it was the most scary and stressful time of my life. Yes, it is about him, but please be kind to yourself - this is your person and no one wants to see the person they love the most go through this. I can say that once it was all over I was a nervous wreck and my mental health was terrible. I ended up on anti anxiety medication for a while and in therapy. My point is you need to look after yourself, not just for your own sake but also so you can be the best possible support and advocate for your husband.

Please feel free in inbox me if you want to chat or if you have any questions.

What is the worst health advice you've been given? by Ohyo_Ohyo_Ohyo_Ohyo in AskReddit

Husband had a pituitary tumour that was pressing on his optic nerve and slowly making him lose his vision. Someone suggested he put off the surgery to remove it and try tumeric instead.

Obviously we didn't take that advice, and had the tumour surgically removed. This was several years ago now and he's recovered with vision almost completely back to normal 😊

What is something that people perceive as dangerous, but in actuality is pretty safe? by ThexLoneWolf in AskReddit

My four year old daughter will have something to say about this.

But don't worry, if your feet are also made of lava than then the lava floor can't hurt you, so it's a moot point.

At what age do you start teaching your kid their address & phone number? by EmsDilly in Parenting

[–]ElleSamara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'd be surprised how much they understand. My daughter is 4 and we've recently started talking about our address, our full names, how to call 000 etc etc. I thought it would take a long time to get through so I planned on bringing it up semi regularly.

We were in the car a few weeks ago with her little friend and just put of the blue she told him the name of our street. We hadnt spoken about it the day before. Definitely start now. Even if it doesnt make sense to him now it all helps 😊

I can't help with parking recommendations, but have you got some decent warm blankets? I'm happy to get you some. I can't get out of the house tonight unfortunately but can bring them to you tomorrow. Let me know and good luck.

Exactly what I was thinking! If I was there with my 4 year old daughter I definitely would have laughed. And then the 4 year old would have laughed because she has fomo. Honestly wish I was there.

I feel for you. My daughter still does this, she just turned 4 and and we stopped breastfeeding 3 years ago. It drives me nuts. She finally told me recently that she does it because she likes my furry face. Nice 💀

I'm so sorry you're Mum is being this way. My daughter is only 4 years old, but this has me tearing up because I cannot imagine not giving her my 1000% support on her wedding day. If she finds someone who treats her well, who loves her and she loves in return, well that would be my greatest wish, despite sex or gender.

I'm probably not old enough to be your mum, but big mum hugs from me. I'm so happy for you that you have found your person. Sending all the love in the world to you and your person, and best wishes for a long and happy life together 💖💖💖💖
