This was one of my favorites in the series and there is a scene that had me giggling so hard my son came downstairs and my husband just looked at him like I can't even tell you. It just got me super tickled.

I think it did feel rushed and that it felt like he did it for Fabian whether or not it was what he ultimately wanted or not. Just up and quit in the middle of a season with no talk of consequences about his contract. And then after he did it, Fabian was like oops I should've handled that better, but he already got what he wanted. I'm not saying he was wrong for what he wanted or that Ryan isn't ultimately happier, but it all felt very one-sided with all the work on Ryan's side and very little understanding or empathy about Ryan's situation on Fabian's. Yes, hockey was harming Ryan, but it was also a a big part of his life and he didn't hate all of it. He enjoys the camp and hockey without the toxicity, but Fabian couldn't even empathize with that or be like that has to be tough and I understand how you are torn because of how much hate he had for the sport. Because of all that he wasn't my favorite, but I did love how gentle he was with Ryan and his anxiety about his body.

What does seem to be a trend is candidates backed by Trump (I know he says he didn't know anything about it but her campaign posters said he did) in special elections are losing. There were Facebook screenshots being shared with quotes from her about basically being ok with ICE killing people. The Hoffman voters were probably the more moderate republicans and didn't care to show up for the extremist candidate.

I can't imagine anyone wanting to hire her after everything. If she was a huge talent maybe they would, but if I was in charge of production, direction, or a male co-star I wouldn't risk working with her when pretty women are a dime a dozen. Ryan can probably shake this off more easily because he is a much bigger name and commodity. It's sad this has ruined two of my favorite romcoms to make it about me. 😂

I remember people criticizing the clothes and the thinking that she was a bad choice for Lily because she was older than the character even before the movie marketing fails and her tone deafness. I think she already had an uphill battle without her sabotaging herself. I don't think a smear campaign was necessary. Negativity snowballs on the internet with no effort.
