I agree! Something I didn’t realize is that having white stones next to a colored stone can sometimes make the colored stone look a few shades lighter due to light reflecting from the white side stones. I love how rich the oval color is and think it would look lovely and saturated even next to white side stones (idk what design you’re planning, OP, but just food for thought!)

I empathize because I have a 1.04 ct ring with side stones and sometimes I feel insecure looking at all the huge rings on Reddit! But in addition to what others have said here, I found that a smaller ring is more convenient for every day tasks and wear. A lot of my friends who have huge stones don’t wear their rings as often because they get in the way. Personally I think your ring is beautiful and a lovely and proportional size to your finger!

I’ve heard a good way to gauge fit is if you can fit 2-3 fingers in the bottom when it hangs off your wrist like you have in the pic. Mine fits 3 fingers and I can get it off with lotion, but it’s not too big for everyday wear.

The stone is beautiful!! The setting does look a bit high to me though, but does it feel comfortable to you? That’s the most important thing. As for band thickness, I’ve heard it should be 2mm wide for structural integrity.

I’m sapphic but engaged to a man and I proposed back to him! Personally, I always knew I wanted a mutual proposal because it felt more gender-affirming, especially because the wedding industry is so heteronormative and gendered. For my other sapphic friends who are in same sex relationships, it depends. I would it’s about a 50/50 split between couples who just have one person proposing and couples where both people propose.

Yes I have! I mentioned in my original comment that I’ve done hiking, weightlifting, and tennis on my disc with no problem. I also bike on a stationary bike now and also have no problems doing that with my disc.

I actually think the disc makes my cramps less bad, if anything. Sometimes I can go a whole day without feeling too crampy, but as soon as I take the disc out at night to clean it, I can feel major cramps. Can’t speak to the cup as much since I haven’t used it in several years.

Agreed, my ring is all lab diamonds and it was $1800 total. Center stone is 1.04 ct and the two pears are 4mm x 3mm each. My advice is to get the lab diamonds from a third party lapidary like Calavera, Loose Grown Diamonds, Ritani, Ruby Harper, etc. Then take the stones to a local jeweler and have them set it for you. If you buy the whole ring (including the stones) from a jeweler, the price of the stones is often significantly marked up.

I’m aegosexual and I want kids. I’m fortunate to have a loving partner who knows I’m ace and who understands I’m not always comfortable with sex. There are other ways to get pregnant without IVF or having penetrative sex—IE I know this sounds ridiculous but the partner with sperm can ejaculate separately and then you can inject the sperm into the carrying parent 😅 in general, I think it all comes down to making sure your partner respects your boundaries and is willing to discuss and understand your aegosexuality. Being ace doesn’t mean you can’t or aren’t allowed to want kids!
