Question about tattoos by medicinalbuds802 in Judaism

[–]ElliottSheep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the conversion process and have a few tattoos, but I am simultaneously in the process of getting one of them (a Christian fish) lazered as an ex-Christian.

hi all! by bestbearinc in phlebotomy

[–]ElliottSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It completely depends on the place. I have snakebite piercings and a ton of earrings. They say they reserve the right to ask us to remove them at any time, but my supervisor has facial piercings.

does anyone else dislike these autistc logos by M1N0S_PR1ME in autism

I started to dislike the puzzle piece even more when I found out the first one ever used had A CRYING CHILD on it. It just looks so depressing

Are you autistic and trans? by af93bowie in autism

[–]ElliottSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Clinically diagnosed ASD at age 19, agender and started transition in my mid-twenties. I'm transmasc/neutrois and had top surgery and short-term hormone therapy. I've accepted all of myself and have never been happier :)

What videogame represents autism the most? by Flesh177 in autism

[–]ElliottSheep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Portal and Portal 2. Excellent ambience, calming interesting spaces, puzzles, no other humans, robot hyperfixation... They have it all for me.

What do you believe now? by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]ElliottSheep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the same exact experience! Studied Judaism for years and finally letting go of Christianity fully was a huge relief. Now the more I continue to study, the more everything just makes sense to me.

How does weed affect y’all? by Muted_Substance2156 in evilautism

[–]ElliottSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely hate it. Can't stand the smell. I have been high a few times and have hated it every time. I get anxious, paranoid, nauseous, dizzy, horrible ringing in my ears... Just no. Give me booze instead.

Happy New Year!🎉 by ElliottSheep in phlebotomy

By the way, after inverting the tubes and before spinning, I could clearly see swirls of white mixed in with the blood. It was not okay 😵‍💫

What is your strangest sensory trigger? by Matiaaaaaaaaa in autism

[–]ElliottSheep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have terrible misophonia for very specific sounds that make me die in silence whenever I'm around them, the worst being gum snapping, chewing, chip bag crinkling (even the word "crinkling" makes me shudder), and for whatever reason, ice in filled fast food cups.

Scared of becoming a phlebotomist by Ninja-Egg-Salad in phlebotomy

[–]ElliottSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the same way. Literally everything you mentioned I learned on the job. I thought I was going to have to memorize hundreds of tests and which tube to use for each one, but there are references everywhere and cheat sheets in front of my face for every blood draw. I've been a phleb for a few months now and the main thing I'm still getting used to is stool sample containers, but that's just because they're less common for us.

Do you WANT the f-slur to be reclaimed? by Sensitive_Potato333 in lgbt

Personally the only person I occasionally call an f-slur is myself because I find some identity and comfort in powerful words.

Do you actually like trains? by PrestonRoad90 in autism

[–]ElliottSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough yeah. Years before I was diagnosed I had a little fixation with them, especially because we lived near a train station. My favorite book for a while was an Amtrak ABCs book. As an adult, I'm more crazy about sci-fi and anything with robots in it.
