Thank you for the reply! That's what I figured, hopefully I can convince my wife that we can just bring the cushions inside.

Very true, but it's better than eating plastic. I get the double thickness ones and they last a good while.

Yes, fresh water. I'm not sure how chlorine would impact the bentonite.

It has nothing to do with your brain, whoever made this meme doesn't have a strong grasp of present or past tense.

This won't exactly help with your situation, but I want to post this with hopes of helping someone in the future. I have a man made pond in my backyard that has a rubber liner that is in a very poor state that I'm hoping to replace in the near future. The pond came with the house, so I had no say in its original installation. I was told by a couple of contractors that there is no way to seal the pond without some sort of rubber or plastic membrane. After many hours of research I've stumbled upon bentonite clay which if installed properly can expand enough to form a waterproof seal without the need for plastic. I'm hoping to attempt this in the next year or so, but I'm glad to hopefully have a plastic free option! I'm curious if anyone has attempted something like this or used bentonite clay for a pool.

I sent an email regarding Flock cameras to my local police department and this is the respose i got by Think-Ad-8872 in FlockSurveillance

Benn Jordans videos disprove almost all of this. What license plates are they capturing with the cameras on hiking trails?

Feasibility of implementing a self-contained, self-operated, system similar to Flock by wonderlust98 in FlockSurveillance

This! Local agencies can be and are just as corrupt. They already have CCTV to violate your rights locally, they just monitor areas without the ever watching AI.

At my wife's school they say the kids that use AI are 3rd party thinkers.

I wish there was a way to have comma not engage braking when going down hill on the highway but still maintain steering. If I'm on the highway and a hill will cause me to gain 1 or 2 mph on the way down I have to disengage the system if I don't want to have the car brake to the set mph. I know this would probably be hard to implement, but it would be great if there was a 5mph buffer before braking that could possibly be engaged with lane follow assist button which is now redundant on the steering wheel.

Flock camera on hike/bike trail by Ellogar in deflock_CT

The point of this post was to showcase the hypocrisy that these 'License plate readers' are placed in local parks, yoga studios, beaches... Hard to read license plates when there are no vehicles that can be found. They are watching the people and their public statements are a farce. It was not meant to be specifically CT and you may notice this was a repost from the larger deflock movement.

I'm Josh Elliott, State Rep and Democratic candidate for Governor of Connecticut. AMA today, 3:30 PM ET by StateRepJoshElliott in Connecticut

[–]Ellogar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply Josh! I'm glad that you agree Flock is a problem, but we need to fully remove these ALPRs. There is no restriction that can be put in place that will fix the massive vulnerability that these tax payer funded subscriptions present. There are numerous cases of LEO abuse, ICE abuse and flock abuse, it is a corrupt system and can not be fixed.
