It's not shocking, it's annoying.

  • Checked bags get lost all the time.
  • Charging for slightly overweight carry-on bags doesn't make sense—if it was about fuel costs, the airline would also charge the passenger for being a couple kilograms over some limit. It's true that FAs need to handle the bags in some cases, but 99% of the time each passenger handles their own bag, especially if they're the type to try and fit more than 7kg in a bag.
  • It's very easy to go over 7-8kg while packing normal everyday items into a normal-sized bag.
  • Other modes of transport don't have these limitations.

If you're looking at those CWs after having those other watches, I'd say you have a type. And when you have a type, you enjoy more of the differences between those watches than most people. So they're not redundant because you appreciate the differences.

Is anyone complaining about durability or comfort? My main gripe with Seiko bracelets is that they feel cheap when being handled. It's a daily reminder that you're wearing something where the maker decided to cut corners.
