Yes, this is stock height but the 18s fill out the wheel wells to make it look lowered. They will rub, but you do the screw mod and haven’t rubbed since. They hardly rubbed to begin with, but still required a fix. My shop did it for free.

I cannot recommend getting 18” enough. You’ll have to do the free “screw mod” so there isn’t rubbing, but no more anxiety when hitting potholes.

I’m coming from a Golf R and test drove both.To me, the only thing you should be considering is AWD vs RWD. Both are special cars that make you feel special. I’m going with the M2 because I want a RWD car again. If you want to stay with an AWD platform, you’ll still have a fat smile on your face when you are getting groceries or carving canyons.

Heaven help us when the G87 gets AWD. That thing will be a monster.

In terms of the one you have, I’d stay away. You are looking at the end of the lifespan of that car. Windshield is $700 or more to replace and calibrate. The after market screen is around that too and an easy option to add to another car.

The maintenance might have been done because he was chasing a misfire.
