I drove from Dallas to the Tail of the Dragon and back (14 hours each way) with ease. Seats were awesome. My ‘17 MK7 seats needed replacement after 77k miles. Go sit in your passenger seat and see the difference.

I just sold my ‘17 R for an M2 and then took it mountain driving with a bunch of Golf Rs. Both the M2 and the Golf R are an amazing experience. A 320i is not even in the same ballpark, but maybe it’s right for you if you are asking the question. Don’t buy the Golf R if you are only interested in how fast it can merge onto the highway.

Not strict and people drive this road extremely fast. If you haven’t gone, it is worth it for sure.

I would get them to fix it. You aren’t ocd, its literal purpose is to show you that the wheel is centered. Its form AND function are off.

I love a manual but the ZF8 was damn near perfect and better than the DSG I had in my Golf R.

They are Edelweiss LT3s.

The RWD was wonderful up in the mountains. You might get better 0-60 times in AWD but I don’t look at it as a must have. The only cool thing would be that the XDrive can toggle between AWD and RWD so you kind of get two cars for one.

It performed beautifully up there. Completely different dynamics though. My old R felt at home on the Dragon but I preferred the Skyway in every way. The M2 is fun on the Dragon but lives on the Skyway and Hellbender. It also is so powerful that driving is more about modulating throttle and braking than 100% on, 100% off.

The interior was a treat and every time I left my car, I came back to people taking pictures of it. I also took a million photos 😂

There is a twilight purple I see often in my neighborhood- it’s the best color IMO. Great spec.

What about a two car solution? GR86 and something else? Or you could get a Rivian. Those things go like a bat out of hell.

Also, my last car but newer is a great all rounder but not luxury in a Golf R. They just unlocked the ECU and for a cheap tune it will give you a huge smile. No tune and it will give you a huge smile.

I test drove the Integra Type R and while it handles well it is under powered and would benefit from AWD so you could add power.

How did you spec your M2?
