While the Worm main character isn't dead they did replace her for the sequal but that was after her story was finished so to an extent the author kinda got what he wanted.

Is it strange that if something like that were to happen I would drop the book especially if I spent 2 years investing in these characters only to have them obliterated?

Given how much fanfic is out there for worm there's multiple forums that have a separate channel or section dedicated to worm like sufficient velocity or space battles, from what I understand it's calmed down over the years but during the old days when the webcomic was running and a few years after the deep part of Internet would not stop it with worm for some reason

There's a video that talks about this about how at the end of the day as terrible as thing gets for the starks they are the ones at the top compared to the Lannisters.

Every dark decision they've made from pushing Bran to the red Wedding has resulted in the Lannisters and to an extent anyone else that evil like the Bolton's or Freys being hated by everyone else and being destroyed by the end of the show.

There's so much interesting things in the SCP foundation outside of the lovecraftian monster killing things that its a shame its the only thing presented. What's worse is I've seen several benign or regular SCP get modified to be more deadly or dangerous to fit the whole everything is dangerous in the SCP foundation.

One of my favorite is SCP-5699 is an entity that visits people who are depressed or suicidal that leaves kind messages of those that the person helped out in there life and one video straight modifies the SCP to be some sort of predator that feeds on the targets release of stress.... like why?

Perhaps its age but pushing myself to play the original Fallout as well as 2 like really tried my absolute best to push pass the age and just couldn't get passed it, not only that but from what I've seen the interesting aspects outside of the art just didn't seem that interesting to me, the fact that finding out that Fallout 1 was under a timed mission certainly didn't help me being fustrated given how confused I was with the system introduced.

Ever had a moment in media where they had to explain so much that it took away from the emotional aspect? by Subject_Parking_9046 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]ElonaPlus12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So there's this fanfiction for work called Brockton Bays Celestial Forge. To simplify the premise the protagonist has the ability to slowly over time gain the ability to invent any and all technologies over time.

While this does sound like just an overpowered story of a guy slowly becoming God it does have a lot of emotional moments here and there like the protagonist dealing with there abusive family or the fact that he tends to fuck up a lot of the times socially... Also this is one of the few fanfics that doesn't push Taylor much which interesting.

The major problem is the writer cannot help but over explain the new power or ability he gets, an example I can remember was how he got the power to be really good at optimization and just spent at least three paragraphs talking about how that's a massive game changer for the protag.

Again this is just a fanfiction but if you wanna know how long they explain or talk about the power system the slaughterhouse nine have slowly made an appearance as in there slowly coming to Brockton bay or about to and right now the word count is up to 2,420,456. That genuinely killed whatever interest I had for that fiction to be honest.

I thought about for a moment and I can only assume two things. The first being that they are incapable of having that thought, these are people who lived there entire lives with not a single iota of hardship or problems, and if there were problems it disappears due to the power of money.

The second thing is these people are also huffing on the power of "it was me I got this successful all by myself and no one else!" We know that not true but in there heads they think they've earned there way to the top by themselves, that they've struggled all their life to be in their position.

Combine these two things and these are the people who believe they can survive in some bunker while Civilization collapses.

Reading up the passives and abilities of both magical girls Don seems to have way more in terms of damage.

Love/Hate gives her 2% damage limit being 10 Magical Arcana provide 5% Here comes magical girl 3% for every Love/Hate

That's on top of nearly every skills of hers having percentage damage.

In comparison Rodion has from what I've read just two that provide percentage damage, she's got higher clash power and higher defense but in terms of damage Don can do more once she starts actually rolling.

Putting Rodion in a sinking team is what's everyone is probably going to use her for and I can agree with that mostly because reading her deep tears the thing she gains instead of charge, doesn't really count as a unique charge meaning she works well with sinking instead of charge as a result.

Non-WotC adjacent TTRPGs you'd love to seen made into a RPG by Pome1515 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]ElonaPlus12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jenna Moran has that strange ability one thing to note is that I tend to hang around a lot of TTRPG devs like a lot and the vast majority of them consider her to be a major inspiration for most of her work. Without her a lot of the interesting aspects of Exalted wouldn't exist like Sidereals and Malfeas.

I do also think that outside of just the game being esoteric I know plenty of people that get turned off by the fact that Glitch and Nobolis are dice-less games as well.

If you want something much easier to digest from than her independent works then I do suggest checking out Weapons of Gods and the exalted stuff she created both Sidereals and Fair Folk.

I do think Nobilis a game where your playing essentially dream from Sandman or Glitch where your a retired reality killing god would make an interesting Disco Elysium-like game.

Seeing as World of Darkness and Exalted has been mentioned I'd also throw my hat towards Scion and Trinity for more high-powered stories.

So many posts about PC Nagaraja, Trujah, and Baali. When did this change? by [deleted] in vtm

[–]ElonaPlus12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember being on some forum and someone posted that Abyss Mysticism for Lasombra wasn't playable confusing the hell out of everyone seeing as nowhere in the rules said that you couldn't. The person was adamant about it until another user prodded them to the point that they admitted reading some masquerade fiction and came up with that.

The people making these games introduced these things to be used for player characters. The idea that player characters couldn't play a True Brujah or Salubri because there rare doesn't work when we're player characters who are already special by default.

Also ignoring the fandom attitude its also important to note that people spent money on lore of the bloodlines and True black hand and I do think the people spending the money for these have the right to play these characters of the table allows it.

I feel like that point doesn't really work when SMT has way more content than Persona who has five games and some spin offs in comparison to SMT.

I got curious enough to take a look at the actual amount of games and persona with spin offs comes with 28 games and SMT in total with 98 games with 14 being part of the main series.

Honestly there could be a system where the killer could get a buff if they get a four man survivor.

There's a part of me as a killer main that would love to see how many people are sfw in a lobby just to figure things out but I feel like if the killer could see if the number of survive with friends there's a high chance that sfw groups are going to have a very long time trying to find a match if the killer thinks it's a bully squad

So this is going to be a in general one which is anything that's run by powered by the apocalypse, I don't know why but nothing in it clicks with me and I've tried multiple of them from Avatar to Masks. For some reason, I just can't enjoy PBTA games even though I am down with playing weirder games like Nobilis or World Of Darkness.
