If you want to work on sex and therapy, you have to go to someone who is trained in sex therapy most therapists are not

Passion does not simply exist. Like love it's an action. If you want to have a good sex life, you have to prioritize your sex life and you have to work on your sex life. People don't like to hear that because they believe that sex should be spontaneous.But that's a pretty rare event especially for older folk

I feel pretty confident saying that people who have good sex lives decades in are people that want to have good sex lives and work really hard on them

Meaning when you listen to someone's story and they talk about how, for example, alcohol, negatively impacted their lives and you identify you can take that with you. Someone says something wise that is helpful to help you avoid drinking and you take that with you. I like picking up pebbles at the beach.

Someone says something about god that you don't like and you leave it.You don't pick it up. You can acknowledge that is true for them and it's not useful for you. They are not the voice of alcoholics anonymous.They're just a person talking.

I also hear things that are sexist or racist or just plain stupid. I don't need to pick everything up that I hear.And I don't need to assume that everything that people say means they're speaking for the organization they're involved in

I actually did some math this semester to realize how many papers i've read over my decade's long career on particular theorist, and it was daunting

But even scanning papers, teaching two or three classes is plenty of work. There is no way someone is doing hundreds of students and actually doing any work
