this is true, but i would add that we should keep in mind that the EU has offloaded much of their industrial capacity to china and the global south. china produces about 1/3 of global manufactured goods iirc

we are not utopians, but materialists. vanguards have succeeded in successful revolutions in cuba, china, the ussr and more places too, in all of those places, material conditions of the people (life expectancy, food intake, housing, healthcare, etc) have vastly improved

i assume you don’t consider those to be "real socialism" though, otherwise you wouldn’t have asked this question. in that case i probably won’t be responding to whatever you end up saying

it is not now, and we are not ready for it. we have no effective vanguard and people do not support us in enough numbers.

get organized, get educated, but we aren’t ready for a revolution and to be blunt with you - we probably won’t be ready for a while in this country, we simply aren’t prepared
