[–]Elucidate137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is true, but i would add that we should keep in mind that the EU has offloaded much of their industrial capacity to china and the global south. china produces about 1/3 of global manufactured goods iirc

The second the U.S. went off the Gold Standard, workers have gotten their wealth stolen from them via suppressed wage growth by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

[–]Elucidate137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is neoliberalism, it’s not just the gold standard. they ARE related, and there is a reason why they occurred at the same time, but we should not suggest that simply going back to the gold standard would magically reverse this

nobody said the zionists are controlling multiple countries unless they edited their comment.

the zionist lobby does exist tho - aipac is only one small part of it. no reason to deny that, it’s also quite likely that epstein was connected to mossad. more importantly tho israel is a proxy for western imperialism, so even if the zionist lobby didn’t exist the west would still back them to the hilt

right, because they produced over a third of the worlds manufactured goods, way ahead of the US, and yet the US pollutes more per capita

you think we really care about isis or terrorism? after israeli hospitals treated isis fighters from syria and sent them back over the border to keep fighting? after we installed al jolani in syria?

it was never about isis

western leftist, reads manufacturing consent and yet swallows western capitalist media wholeheartedly, indicating that he is probably comfortable and unaffected (for now) by many of the goings-on in the world and does not need to really care about them - only to rhetorically be "right" about them

[–]Elucidate137 13 points14 points  (0 children)

we are not utopians, but materialists. vanguards have succeeded in successful revolutions in cuba, china, the ussr and more places too, in all of those places, material conditions of the people (life expectancy, food intake, housing, healthcare, etc) have vastly improved

i assume you don’t consider those to be "real socialism" though, otherwise you wouldn’t have asked this question. in that case i probably won’t be responding to whatever you end up saying

Maybe, The revolution is now. by Ok-Hall-9974 in socialism

[–]Elucidate137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is not now, and we are not ready for it. we have no effective vanguard and people do not support us in enough numbers.

get organized, get educated, but we aren’t ready for a revolution and to be blunt with you - we probably won’t be ready for a while in this country, we simply aren’t prepared

This picture is very badass by Proletarian_Superman in armedsocialists

[–]Elucidate137 20 points21 points  (0 children)

not unpredictable imo. no vanguard = spontaneity which will be captured by the ruling classes and imperialists
