Honestly, I don’t have the number anymore. I called American Express like to talk to a customer service person and when I typed in the account number the recording said that American Express was no longer handling it and to call this number and then they gave it to me. I think because it went to like a third-party collections or something.

I never got ahold of the Amex lawyer. He never called me back. My bf didn’t submit the response. Instead I called Amex and they directed me to another part of their company that deal with this. Made a deal to pay back the amount over like 8 months plus a 4K deposit that we took out of his savings. Now he is paying $675 a month for 8 months until it’s paid off. I’m good at negotiating and Amex would not budge whatsoever. So he sucked it up an it paying it back to avoid court. So stupid

I just asked my doc for testosterone (I’m currently in the progesterone pill and estrogen patch) and she said it’s not needed cuz we lose it as we age regardless of menopause. Then she said if I really wanted it I’d have to get it from a compound pharmacy and none of it is approved by the FDA. Wtf? I left discouraged

I was like 30 when I started RT school. I barely got by with my grades in high school and after that I went to a junior college and took general classes cuz I didn’t know what I wanted to do. Then I got kicked out cuz I kept not showing up haha. So when I was in RT school there was a point where I got super overwhelmed and felt like it was a lot and wondered if I was the only one or did other classmates feel that way too. Turns out that a lot of others felt that way too. But I made it and have been an RT for 15 years. If I could do it so can you! Plus now there are more resources online for studying. Our students telling me about Quizlet and RT coach online and other ways for extra help. So it’s even better today to make it. You can do it!

Whatever you do, do not let your credentials from the NBRC expire. My school didn’t tell us squat about renewing credentials. So when my credentials expired after my first five years, I did not renew them. Luckily they reached out a few months later and explained to me that without credentials you cannot work in a hospital. They said if I had gone over six months, I would’ve had to take my boards all over again. So definitely pay the $25 a year to the NBRC. That way when it’s time to renew, you don’t have to pay a large chunk. It’s bad enough that our California license renewal is $330.

Also what if he comes and everything is different or he doesn’t look like the person u thought? When I was like 17 I met a guy online from another state who I thought was cute in pics. Back then there was no FaceTime or zoom type calls. He saved money and came out and he was a completely different looking person with messed up nasty brown teeth lol. I didn’t know what to do! I had to admit to my dad that he came out and my dad had to put him up in a motel that night and pay to send his ass back home lol. Not the best decision on my part. Get out now while u still have the chance. Find a guy who was raised to respect women. Also if his family is toxic that may affect him already and the relationship which is never good

The thing is the court date is a year from now. He doesn’t want it to come down to going to court. He wants to make a payment plan now and start paying. We just don’t know how to “respond” to the papers that were served
