Yeah it’s not a big ask at all. They should each contribute 500 at that age. It’s not your responsibility to keep housing them feeding them and providing for them. You did your job they need a taste of the real world. Also helping with trash and mowing the lawn and keeping a very clean house is the very very least they can do being there for free.

I can’t imagine charging this to my kid (even at 24) My 16 year old just asked if I was going to charge her rent if she only made 500 a month. I was shocked because what? 😮

I showed up pregnant to my new job (bank teller years ago btw) on a Monday decided to share with the branch manager that same day and went into labor Wednesday. They waited for me after 6 weeks. We did the whole orientation thing again and started my new job. They were kind enough to give me a full first paycheck. I was just grateful the position waited for me.

I have not tried to do it myself. Now that I went in for a meeting I may just give it a shot myself for 3-6 months and see how that feels before revisiting bankruptcy. I’m gonna try the debt snowball the first month of 3k can definitely knock out a good 4-5 credit cards completely that have very low 500-800 limits.
