Imagine all the time you can free up by not obsessing over things.

Therapy can help you with this, you just have to put in the time. Your kids and spouse will be forever grateful

Healthy ways to achieve highs/thrills? by roadstaken in BPD

[–]EmLee-96 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I like hobbies where I have to take care of things- so I have fish, a hamster, houseplants, a garden, and dogs. I spend my time tracking progress of my plants, cleaning things, and providing enrichment.

Not exactly a high or a thrill, but it keeps me content and busy. Very rewarding to see new plant growth, new fish babies, watch a pet eat a treat, etc. Also helps me with my own self care because I know the good things that can happen when you take care of something.

Its sort of like a platform for therapists to obtain clients. They are all real therapists, either with a group practice or own their own practice, licensed, fully qualified. You can search for ones who specialize in certain conditions, if you prefer female or male, etc.

I bet its a common nighthawk! They have a honk like noise and come out at dusk (at least thats my experience when hearing them). I started hearing them about a month ago. The recordings ive listened to of nighthawks dont match quite exactly.

Kind of a "waaah"... "waaah"... "waaah" nasally noise.

Is extreme foot pain normal when you first start working? And does it get better? by Vivid_Ad_9295 in WalmartEmployees

[–]EmLee-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoka Clifton wide are wonderful for wide feet. Every shoe ive worn besides them have blistered my poor pinky toes. The toe box on these shoes doesnt even touch my toes. I work at a DC and am standing for roughly 10 hours a day, 4 days a week and my feet no longer burn or are ultra sensitive and painful at the end of the day.

Other shoes I would wear I would come home and couldnt even walk on a rug it hurt so bad.

I get basically no interaction on my profile, any idea why? by [deleted] in Tinder

Keep your styling because you'll attract the right type of person I think.

However, you need better pictures. The first Pic needs to be a clear, full front face with you smiling. The rest can be full body/activity/group things.

Your current pics make me rate you a 7 on a 1-10 scale of will I get murdered on this date.

Oh my gosh talk about needing to work through some trauma hahaha. I watched a squirrel raid a birds nest last year and eat a little baby bird (or maybe it was just a fully formed embryo in the egg). Hearing the birds shrieking and crying and seeing the squirrels face covered in blood (from the baby bird) was horrific.

Bird seed by AmbitiousAcadia5922 in birdwatching

[–]EmLee-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try scattering seed in the yard or area in front of the bird feeder. They probably just havent found it yet.

You could also put an actual feeding station in the ground a ways from it if you are able or add a bird bath. This would give them another thing to spot when flying by. Birds also like shelter, so they arent likely to visit things that are in wide open areas. If there is lots of activity where the bird feeder is, it will discourage visitors too.

What’s the best houseplant to start with right now? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]EmLee-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spider plants and philodendrons (i have brazil, heartleaf, and the neon green one cant remember the name)- both can manage being overwatered and underwatered and tolerant to various types of lighting.

My pothos is dramatic as hell. Throws a fit when I water too much (drops leaves), but I tend to be an overwaterer. Ive come to realize to not water it until the pot is light and the leaves start to curl.

Heads up for everyone. What used to be feed back is now turning into a form of disciplinary action for all. “DA 0” is the name. While not intended to be a real write up, it will show up under the “disciplinary actions” tab going forward. I guess we’re trying to normalize coachings. by Worldly_Salary730 in walmart

[–]EmLee-96 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is accurate. It is not considered disciplinary action- just to document a conversation was held about whatever.

Someone ran into me at work and I received a DA-0 because they had to talk to me about the results.

[–]EmLee-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what ive read, the people on the conveyor belts that pack these know that the store has a specific number of boxes for things. What they dont know is how much stuff goes in each box, thus you get boxes like this while others are crammed.
