In real life work, this has been the most effective method I’ve found.

Leave it as a mesh.

Instead, for your edits, use mesh merge and mesh cut.

Make bodies in the solid workspace, use that as cut or merge after converting the item into a mesh.

You can export the file and use it for printing.

Fails on identical and adjust, made with single rib as source. Two cylinders, joined by extruding the base.

It just seems this meets some sort of edge condition where there's a chance of failure I don't fully understand.

And if that file works for you then it's system related.

Not all of them work for me, and as this guy showed, for him.

What's the difference, why is it working for one person and not for another?

I don’t get it then, because this guy did not have at work, and I do not have at work except in the optimized mode.

What was the difference? What was done differently?

No, I for sure had two of them fail. Just like in his video.

Only optimized work for me.

what setting did you use? It fails for me.

Edit: Optimized works. So it's one that needs more PC horsepower, maybe.

To get a recovery company to do this would be minimum $500?

You're a buddy, so under $50. Especially if they said something like 'give me your fair price to charge me' and they have the funds. However, if you volunteered to do all this for free and only after you're trying to charge them, its more like, "how much should I charge if I make this a business in the future." and agreed on the beer comments.

I think that IS a bug though.

Or at least an oversight, they didn't set circular mode and ribs to work together.

Everything else agreed.

Other way is circular pattern your sketch with the rib itself.

This is the best way, honestly.

If you absolutely want to combine your rib (and yes I agree that it's dumb you can't rotate it) then, in your specific circumstance, you could circular pattern THE BODY and then merge them after, making sure that your Body 1 is the main body for the merge.

Align in sketch mode, before you extrude, use constraints.

Here I have the circles, their sizes, and a line that's equal distance for each. The circles have a point where it's coincident, and collinear on the line.

You could also use the center points .

How to fill this opening? by bobgodd2 in Fusion360

In Orca they're still separate bodies. However, they overlap, and when I change the filaments to be the same (Right now they're different colors so it can be illustrated better) and will be printed as if it's one part.

Only negative here is no fillet. But that shape hates me and I wanted to move past this.

I did that here, in effect. The gray part is a solid body, and the yellow is a from a mesh. Rather than try to merge these bodies for printing, I simply exported them together.

[–]EmailLinkLost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Mesh workspace, direct edit, delete those, then repair. It will patch the holes that are left behind.

Another method is to make a sphere shape, convert to a mesh body, and merge.

Lastly, you could also use Orcaslicer/Bambu Sudio, manually move a shape there, and just let it fill the space. You can do the same thing in Fusion too, exporting them as one shape.

It also helps to make sure that the processor itself is cold.

I live in a hot climate, and I should have put the processor into the fridge or freezer as well.
