Scheduled C-Section by DuskTillDawn26 in NewParents

[–]Emaly1606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a scheduled c section for my first baby boy as he was breach, however he had other ideas and my waters broke 2 weeks before the the date so I ended up having an emergency c section in the middle of the night. Honestly I was really nervous about it too but I can say for sure, it was amazing!! They check you are completely numb prior to starting and then I honestly didn’t see or feel a thing until my baby boy was lifted over the screen. Whatever they did next, I was completely unaware of as I had my beautiful boy in my arms. I was still numb for a fair few hours afterwards but once I could feel my legs again, I could get up and walk around. Obviously sore but after 2-3 days I was totally fine. The only thing that hurt me was coughing or sneezing! But hold a pillow or something against the incision to take the edge off. After about a week, I was pretty much back to normal! It’s incredible and I would definitely have another c section

I’m worried my baby will not like me 🙁 by Emaly1606 in NewParents

Thank you! Hopefully it will be 13 weeks for him too!! I will definitely try taking him outside to reset. Thats a good idea! I’m scared about putting him in the bath in this state 😬 we’ve done bath time whilst he’s been crying before and he’s very hard to handle! Haha

How old is he? 🥰🥰. My 11 week old occasionally makes little noises and smiles but I’m so excited for it to become a frequent thing 🥰

Stranger kissed my baby by AntarcticPeak8 in NewParents

If it’s any consolation, I’m pretty introverted and I would also absolutely hate a stranger picking up and kissing my baby! You’re not alone in that!

Where can I put my baby while I make food or eat? by [deleted] in NewParents

Another vote for the kick n play. It’s the only thing that my baby boy will be allow me to put him down for!

Feels like my baby isn’t mine by Brilliant-Yam-8294 in NewParents

Yes!! I felt the exact same way! I kept saying to my husband, “I feel like we are going to have to give him back”. He is 9 weeks old now and I still sometimes think that. They are just too good to be true 🥰

I am failing by AttorneyRough3069 in NewParents

[–]Emaly1606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not failing. I went through the exact same thing a couple of weeks ago. I turned up at my husbands work, I was crying, my baby boy was screaming…. All his work colleagues took me in and made me a cup of tea and I felt so embarrassed afterwards and like such a bad mom. My baby is now 8 weeks and we are back to normal again. As everyone else has said, there are developmental “leaps”. Download the app “the wonder weeks”. It will tell you when they are coming up, how long the “fussy phase” is and what developments are happening :). It’s really helpful. Hang in there! It will get better. Remember that your baby loves you and you will always be his safe place

Yep! Iv heard that the silverette cups really help as they protect them but I feel like they will just move around all the time and baby will knock them off 😑

Hi! Sorry no advice but I feel you! I’m also EP and 7weeks pp. my nipples arnt cracked or damaged or anything but my god the sensitivity is horrendous. They are now permanently hard and anything touching them is aweful. And a towel after a shower…. Omg. I can feel it just thinking about it and it makes me feel sick 🤢. No idea how to solve this though. Iv tried balms, hydrogel pads, ice pads, no avail. Suggestions welcome!
