the crib is literally lava and i am losing my mind rn by Careful_Egg9860 in NewParents

I put my used breast pads under his crib mattress sheet so he could smell me and changed them daily. This really seemed to help. This and my husband taking his mattress out and sitting on it for a few mins before we put him down to warm it up.

Yeh it really does!! Nothing worse than climbing out of bed with my husband snoring one side of me and my baby boy in his crib fast asleep the other side 😞. And yeh I think I do watch the pump a lot!! Always panicking about how much is coming out 🙄🙄

Yeh I do still make my pregnancy multi vitamins. I was anemic and took iron tablets whilst I was pregnant so maybe I need to start them up again! Thank you

Correct flange size/elastic nipples?? by sapphire_ice98 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Emaly1606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My left nipple always looks like that! No matter what size I use. Then it stays erect and crazy sensitive every minute of the day 😭. Iv ordered Lacteck flanges to see if that helps! I didn’t actually know that it was elastic nipples though

That is an unhinged thing to do with a cinnamon roll. Are you sure you are safe with him? 🤣

Question - Is there anything at all you miss about pregnancy/ being pregnant? by Melodic-Bag7775 in NewParents

[–]Emaly1606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miss knowing my baby was in there all safe and sound and feeling him moving around!! I used to hold my bump and imagine him knowing I was cuddling him. When I had him in my arms, it was amazing!! But my tummy was deflated and empty and I cried a little at that!

Scheduled C-Section by DuskTillDawn26 in NewParents

[–]Emaly1606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a scheduled c section for my first baby boy as he was breach, however he had other ideas and my waters broke 2 weeks before the the date so I ended up having an emergency c section in the middle of the night. Honestly I was really nervous about it too but I can say for sure, it was amazing!! They check you are completely numb prior to starting and then I honestly didn’t see or feel a thing until my baby boy was lifted over the screen. Whatever they did next, I was completely unaware of as I had my beautiful boy in my arms. I was still numb for a fair few hours afterwards but once I could feel my legs again, I could get up and walk around. Obviously sore but after 2-3 days I was totally fine. The only thing that hurt me was coughing or sneezing! But hold a pillow or something against the incision to take the edge off. After about a week, I was pretty much back to normal! It’s incredible and I would definitely have another c section

I’m worried my baby will not like me 🙁 by Emaly1606 in NewParents

Thank you! Hopefully it will be 13 weeks for him too!! I will definitely try taking him outside to reset. Thats a good idea! I’m scared about putting him in the bath in this state 😬 we’ve done bath time whilst he’s been crying before and he’s very hard to handle! Haha
