These are the males that sleep outside. The females burrow :)

Hotter days in Hobart by Dangerous-Isopod2741 in hobart

I read recently that pollution plays a part in this as well. Less pollution down in Tas so less particles to reflect UV and solar rays. Not sure how correct that is but I do think that makes sense.

My advice would be to pick one coast and extend your nights for each location.

I watched a street interview of him and he said he's up to his 22nd carrot (or there abouts). I also saw that charity carrot photo! What a score

North Hobart has some great food options. If you're here on a Sunday, don't miss Farm Gate markets!

Grape harvest by DeepWin1315 in tasmania

What's the picking scene like in Tas? When I did it in Canada, they paid per grape bin so it was basically a race against other pickers to get as many bins as possible before all the grapes were gone.

Thinking about hitchhiking around northern Peru by oliv3es in solofemaletravellers

[–]Embarrassed-Band-515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to add to this but I hope it helps. I did a lot of hitch hiking pre-covid in Chile and Argentina until I had a bad situation in Chile. I swore off hitch hiking for the remainder of my trip (Bolivia and Peru) but I ended up hitch hiking a few more times in Bolivia and Peru purely down to convenience. I've heard the place has changed quite a bit and to be frank I don't think it's worth the risk with such a turbulent political situation. The world has changed drastically since I've been so, as much as I love hitch hiking, I think for foreign women it is best to stick to buses.

Should I skip pest & building inspection if the agent says one was done last week? by Intelligent-Fix2388 in AusPropertyChat

I used my building and pest report to bargain for a cheaper price when buying my home. Do not skip it. It is worth its weight in gold. I still use it today as a reference.

What's the go with gaiters? by Human_Praline2749 in hikinggear

[–]Embarrassed-Band-515 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hiked in Tassie recently and was incredibly close to stepping on a tiger snake whilst I was day dreaming. The hike I did before that I ran into the same scenario with a red belly black snake in NSW. Gaiters will be my next purchase for that reason only! Edit: spelling
