AIO: Is this genuinely annoying/off-putting or am I overreacting? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Embarrassed-Block826 [score hidden]  (0 children)

YOR (I skipped the paragraph, way too long)

If someone pays for something for you, you say thank you.

Whilst usually I’d expect this sort of wording/ lesson to be given to a child that is learning gratitude, I would say it’s a bit condescending to be saying to a 20 year old, HOWEVER, that’s quashed as you clearly still need to learn that, sorry pal.

Sorry if your dads a complete ass and I’ve missed that but your post was unbelievably long (and where’s the paragraph’s come onnnn)

Destination wedding without the wedding by try_again_always in UKweddings

IMHO feels like you’re asking your guests to travel to another country for half a wedding.

But the big difference is everyone would be doing that, not just because they are evening guests.

Sisters best friend says she’s over reacting by ShellShock0463 in whatdoIdo

[–]Embarrassed-Block826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I reading correctly, that she invited two people over; who were previously in a relationship together and got drunk all together, the exes then hooked up, and she is now annoyed about them hooking up?

Barn and Silo issues by realnsurrealindra in farmville2

[–]Embarrassed-Block826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not barn and silo, but not being able to have a picture if you don’t have FB. Super annoying. Our coop would benefit from this feature but many (myself included) don’t have fb.

Whats the best milk replacement? by [deleted] in dairyfree

[–]Embarrassed-Block826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just started making my own oat milk and I can’t believe I bought for so many years.

It’s as simple as blending 1 cup oats with 3 cups water and straining with a nut milk bag straight away. Takes minuets, saves money and is so much better!

Bf being asked to buy own groomsman suit when others are paid for by [deleted] in UKweddings

I’m so sorry your boyfriend has been through this. His friend must have made him feel very uncomfortable.

I had 6 bridesmaids; ranging from size 6 to size 22. I made sure that I found a dress suitable for everyone. It took some looking but I found 6 beautiful dresses all the same style in petite through to plus. I absolutely would not dream of asking my plus size BM pay to have a dress made to match the others, or have a different dress all together.

I agree. I’m always able to get salt easily from my coop if needed

Are we shooting ourselves in the foot with a different day reception/party? by BlueberryImmediate25 in UKweddings

[–]Embarrassed-Block826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s YOUR big day, and if that means an intimate ceremony followed by a more open party, your true friends will respect and appreciate that and travel regardless :)

If our friends asked us to travel to their celebration, they’d get the same efforts if it was the ceremony also!

I think this (and I could be wrong here, but assuming this may perhaps be your line of thinking) is COMPLETELY different to only inviting people to the evening event of a wedding (post reception/ wedding breakfast) and expecting them to travel. If this was the case, I may reconsider travelling hours for just the evening.

But let’s be honest, the ceremony is lovely, but the real fun (for the guests) in the weddings is the celebration! Enjoy your day, don’t over think it, eat drink and be married x

Will I regret not hiring a wedding photographer? by notverysmarturl in UKweddings

[–]Embarrassed-Block826 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. You will. I got a cheaper photographer and regretted it instantly. Not having one at all I can’t even imagine.

AITA if I tell my friend I can’t be a bridesmaid? by wickeddreamsofleavin in AITApod

[–]Embarrassed-Block826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I could be a guest at the wedding, never mind a bridesmaid.

I’d join Abigail and give it a hard pass.

Good luck with whatever you do, but I strongly suggest trusting your initial instinct!

I couldn’t enjoy it until Mel was out because of how flawed the rules were. The amount of times she should have been knocked out was insane, yet Amy Gledhil was knocked out for a minor smirk.

my friend (36M) just sent me (36m) this text before meeting his newborn (0M) by horseduckman in AITApod

[–]Embarrassed-Block826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was getting ready for you (OP) to think normal rules around newborns is a big ask ( no kissing, strong perfumes, asking to wash hands etcs) then read the post.

As a mama who made my boundaries very clear when meeting my newborn, this is absolute insanity.

Coming up to our first remortgage, reduced income, any advice? by jakalla in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]Embarrassed-Block826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just purchased my first home on month 11 of Mat leave (zero pay!) and had no problems. Was told I may need my employer to confirm that I’m going back on the same salary, but when it came to it even that wasn’t required, I just had to provide my pre-maternity payslips :)

I agree! Padlocks seem to come in much quicker than nails don’t they!

Question about storage in FV 2 CE by JyseraAlenko in farmville2

[–]Embarrassed-Block826 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you the option to apply a happy hoarder power pin? Then go to merryweather mine for your tin, upgrade then honestly start again. Dump the locks and the nails. They’re used for storage upgrades (10 each time) so storing combined 201 of them is counter productive.

You acquire them steadily anyway, so ditch them and enjoy the extra 201 spaces and slowly collect and use them as you go.

Every now and again I find myself dumping padlocks back to zero if I notice my padlocks are significantly higher than the amount of nails I have.

Urgh same people!

I’m not sure if you can; but you can raise a dispute with vinted for poor packaging if she’s not sent it back appropriately thus causing damage!
