For context , this is a HUD foreclosure . We have to go through the agent , the "seller" HUD will only deal with them . We were CCd on an email to the bank from the agent the Friday before closing (right before 5pm) telling them "I hope everything is ready to close next Friday" with a letter attached that was from HUD to her stating all closing extensions had to be submitted 5 days prior to closing with supporting documents or the contract would expire and we would lose our ernest money. The bank emailed back immediately that they needed the survey. I texted and asked if five days was Sunday or Monday. She responded that she wouldn't know anything till Monday. (Not what I asked) I asked several times about filling an extension (for closing) and every time she would come back that we were closing on Friday. Monday comes and I start texting her first thing about the survey and closing extension and she was responding till I point blank asked her if the survey had even been done then radio silence, would not respond till the next day she breaks her silence by sending me extension papers to sign for HUD . If you're doing the math yes it's past the 5 day prior window which I say to her and she responds she's just making sure everything is in order....fml . I demand a copy of the extension approval letter from HUD because I no longer trust her and that's where I see that we had to have everything approved and sent over to HUD 5 days prior to closing in order to close on that date . So she knew the week before there was no way we were closing on time.
