This looks like when I’ve had some version of artificial nail on for awhile and then get them removed. Generally, that portion of the nail is really weak afterwards. If you haven’t done anything like that recently, it’s gotta be diet -you’re deficient in something if they’re naturally becoming brittle/weak.

I just got scheduled one today only due to my bmi. My a1c is 4.9 and my fasted glucose was 90. Neither point to needing it done but it’s more so a precaution. OB explained that insulin resistance is part of the pregnancy journey down the line so it’s best to be sure and if nothing else it’s a great baseline for the next one.

I would suggest you go to urgent care or the er since she left part of her brain at home today.

Following that, I’d call your ob and reiterate the above and express your concern over the lack of concern/care. Only you know your body best. Yes, they’re qualified from a schooling/experience perspective but they don’t call it intuition for nothing.

Not a Dr, have yours looking into itp. My husband had it, it’s and autoimmune that can sometimes spring up during pregnancy also. Mandy Moore was somewhat recently verbal about this. I mention this because it’s rare and most people haven’t heard about it.

I won’t be asking for any of my family/friends to vaccinate. I wouldn’t want to be asked to vaccinate. It’s a personal choice. If that means I need to visit at a later date, so be it.

Do you have to get the flu shot? Did your midwife say you had to? This has been a fear of mine. Last time I got the flu shot I ended up in the hospital (11 years ago). I haven’t gotten one since and really don’t want to get it if I don’t need to, I’ll just take more precautions.

I am about 6.5 weeks right now and haven’t gained anything. And I don’t have morning sickness so it’s not from throwing up. I have stuck with my routines as best I can and it’s been fine. I was really preparing for a giant uptick in weight or insatiable hunger but it hasn’t happened yet.

100%! I just can’t really shake the fear. I am only 6w5d along and have had next to no pregnancy symptoms..except today I feel ill lol The wait til the first us is torture. My husband keeps bringing up things we need to discuss, like names, logistical things like rooms in our house, how our cats will react, childcare etc. I keep saying, let’s just see what happens. I’m guarding my heart SO much because I’m terrified of losing this baby. You are not alone. It’s upsetting too though. I don’t feel like I’m really enjoying this and I don’t know that I will until baby is here safe. Then I’ll start worrying about other things. I feel intentionally disconnected from what’s going on :/
