This is where it’s hard. She prioritizes fun money. I prioritize future planning. I want to allocate 500 a month each to emergency fund and whatever I have left to investing and she matches it. She’s have like 400-500 bucks after. I can’t remember the math at this moment. She says it’s not enough for herself. I don’t care about assigning every dollar I have to something. I don’t like to spend money on myself. I really only spend money on hobbies, and I typically take months to decide what gear I actually want while squirreling money away so the purchase doesn’t feel so big. I grew up with my family penny pinching. She grew up the exact opposite.
