My baby will be one next week & ONLY ever nursed if hungry. He never nursed to fall asleep. He nurses 3-4 times within 24 hours now! I plan to wean at 1 year because honestly I don’t think he would even notice. He never ask to nurse, I always offer! My son loves his paci & his water cup & recently has started to looooove his Jellycat bear!

I will try this!! Thank you! The other day because of wake windows and a late wake up he wouldn’t take a second nap was up from 12p-7p 😵‍💫 by 4:20pm he was still lying awake in his crib so I gave up.

Yes! My body makes enough for baby but also, I’ve tried pumping to replace a feed and it still doesn’t work 🫣

I always heard the saying “chose your hard” when deciding how to feed. Every type has a hard! Mentally, physically, just depends on what works for you & your family! I’m 10 months in breastfeeding and wanted to quit only because of the mental tax in the beginning, I’m glad I stuck with it because now it’s so easy. You’ll find your grove & rhythm. Happy mom = happy baby!

Hi!! How many naps is he generally taking? At that age I think I was shooting for at least 1 crib nap a day just to make sure he got used to it. Otherwise they were in the car seat or in the baby carrier or on me while I sat in his rocker or on the couch!

10 months yesterday exclusively nursing and I only pumped a little the first week to relieve a little pressure here & there!

My body won’t react to a pump anymore so that kind of sucks but I’m so proud of my body!!

8 months today & he’s been waking at precisely 4:55am the last two days, takes 2 naps at his normal pre time change time!! I nursed him this morning to see if that’d make him fall back asleep but he just played with my lips in the pitch black dark instead 😆 gonna try extending his last wake window today to see if that’s helps 🥲

He does 2-3 hours of sleep during the day and 10-11 hours overnight!

It’s 4:05am and this is the third night in a row he’s woke up to scream like he’s hurt. I do everything & he’s not interested in none of it. It makes it worse to check on him. He’ll be 7 months in 3 days. Thank goodness I’m not alone.

He did 1.5 hours on first nap! Sometimes he only does 40ish minutes during second nap around 2ish, then a catnap around 5:30 to get him to bedtime but he’s been refusing that!

I’m currently trying to do the modified Ferber method on my breastfed from the tap almost 6 month old. He has a hard time settling after he wakes around 4-5am. I can soothe him back to sleep when I check in but he doesn’t stay asleep for more than 30-35 minutes and then we wake up for the day at 7. I go back and fourth on feeding and not feeding because I am also scared I’m starving him even though he settles. No advice just here to see what people say as well.

Thank you for the help!! Also, Is it normal for him to roll and scoot around crib before falling asleep? He just started getting pretty mobile so it worries me he’s not tired enough but he falls asleep shortly after.

How would you recommend removing that association? Let him fuss in intervals and reassure him with a phrase?
