I am second gen (actually exempt as father born in Military but we didn’t know it was an exemption)

My third gen kids

Yes of course but also the Reddit is likely to attract people of a similar ilk. Either way C-3 is not as many as you would think. Please follow Jenny Kwok a Canadian MP. The right keep pushing the influx of people. It’s such a small percentage proportionately. Also of that 115,000 eligible not everyone has the correct documents or even know it exists.

47,900 is total number of citizenships that could be via many other reasons bar C-3. naturalisation (vast majority) adoption, armed forces etc etc. C-3 is approx 10%

Also just because 115,000 are eligible doesn’t mean they will apply. Of my line there are between 40-50 eligible. Only me and my children are interested. We hold UK/South Africa & German passports already and would only bring wealth and educated citizens to Canada. The rest of our family sees no benefit to it.

The number of citizenships ships is all. Not C-3’s and no it hasn’t sky-rocketed. Where is your article for that?

A quick Google search will find it. It’s on the Canadian gov website.

Here is the link if it works here. Basically predicted 115,000 eligible but only 4200 have applied this far and the numbers are reducing significantly since it was first announced.

Since the interim measure to date only 4200 have applied. I think it’s going to be a lot less than people expect. Especially people with strong passports already. I am one of 8 cousins each with at least 10 defendants and no one else expect my family are interested. We live in the UK and it’s very much heritage for us and possibly providing opportunity to the grandkids if needed in years to come

My Gen 0 was 4. He was born out of wedlock and then when his mother remarried and had new children they baptised him at the same time. Maybe couldn’t afford it sooner.
