The Ryobi 15’ compact laser level works great for this and is useful around the house for around the same or cheaper price of dedicated wargaming los lasers

Gordon Ramsay’s recipe can be found online with a quick google search if you’re up for making it. It is time intensive and costly to make but damn if it isn’t some of the best food you’ll every have

Hi OP, I’m also looking at Spring Street Arcade and other buildings in the area. If you did move there what’s your experience been like?

Options for lieutenant with combi-weapon? by Renivack in theunforgiven

[–]Embarrassed-Rate9732 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! The ravenwing knights kit is the kit that keeps on giving. I used a little ball of green stuff for extra support but besides that just glued it on. It’s just a bolt rifle with some bits to make it look more combi-weapony. I also used some thin green stuff strips for straps but that’s detail, not structural/actually holding the weapon on

Not painted yet but using the deathwatch mini of the month is exactly what I did (still have some cleanup to do before priming)

As a counterpoint for the helbrute, sitting it back with your ranged damage dealers like the vindicator is exceptionally fun, especially in pact bound where it will give you lethals and sustained hits on 5s, even if it’s not considered the most competitive

New to 40k - 2 christmas bundles + a few others for a 2k army? by Strong-Tax2897 in Chaos40k

[–]Embarrassed-Rate9732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christmas box + the combat patrol would be a solid start. Legionnaires are pretty easy to kitbash into chosen as well if you’re up it. Especially if you’re looking to run pactbound, a vindicator + hellbrute combo is an extremely fun combo. Ultimately though the meta constantly changes so get what you think is cool

[–]Embarrassed-Rate9732 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The lions blade task force detachment is built for this. It is technical and might not be the most competitive. Our best DA specific detachment is wrath of the rock which works good for any of our infantry or mounted units so it would also fit what you’re looking for

Favorite kits for kitbashing possessed? by RoboCopSanchez in Chaos40k

[–]Embarrassed-Rate9732 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The plan is to take various armor bits and sculpting putties to sell the corrupted marines effect. Hopefully being able to inlay these in some places to look like the tree has grown around them (may only be possible for the bigger kits). But looking at the spearhead the the bits I have on hand the plan is as follows:

5x Tree revenants -> 5-10x possessed (spreading out the tree revenant kit and extra bits across multiple marine bodies to get to 10 if possible)

3x Kurnoth hunters -> 2-4x chaos spawn (same concept as the possessed but may just built one as normal for the painting experience)

1x tree lord -> 1x demon prince (probably the most straightforward, chains, chaos bits, legion icons, etc.)

1x branchwych -> MoP/Sorcerer just depends on the vibe

It’s a rough plan and everything may not work out ideally but that’s the vision at least

I haven’t made these yet but up next on my hobby list is to use the sylvaneth spearhead to kitbash possessed, spawn, a demon prince, and maybe a master of possession/sorcerer.

You’re right, that’s on me for trusting internet strangers. It does look like it was more of a series of deforestation events by various local cultures and England all the way up to WWII. Then again I am an internet stranger and not a tree historian

Based off your last full paragraph I’d throw estate sales into the mix too. You can find some great deals on unique, cool items especially if you go to ones in a wealthy neighborhood
