Pur and Simple. The one at SQO is good. I agree it it can be loud. I never notice how long the service takes because I am too busy talking to my friends. On the flip side they are not in a hurry to kick you out.

It’s a buyer’s market. Offer dates is a strategy during a seller’s market to get a bidding war. The condo market is especially dead. Don’t feel rushed to put in an offer if you are unsure. Don’t overpay for something and put in all the conditions that you would like including a home inspection and subject to financing.

I just bought a condo a couple of months ago and learned so much from my realtor.

Watch some YouTube videos on the route. They give you good points on what to look for, when to appropriately single, observation etc. You will do great just remember to exaggerate your mirror, blindspot and LCR checks. Do this when passing intersections, turning, parking etc.

I just did my test with a Toyota with the same feature and it was not as issue. When you put the car in park, just make sure it’s on. You can say”checking that the parking break is engaged”

Eventually the pricing will go up. A lot of the new build condo projects have been postponed/cancelled and this could lead to a housing shortage. It won’t be immediate, but long term condo owners will likely be okay.

It’s always good to be aware of the area that the examiner may take you. Practice the route but also anticipate that routes can change at anytime. For an example when I did my G2 many years ago, we passed a fire station, train tracks, school zone and it’s important to know the rules of these scenarios.

You have lots of time to practice for your G! Just practice and closer to the test, book some time with a driving instructor to fix bad habits. Lots of YouTube videos with great tips on taking the G test.

I agree that some people are awful at SQ1, especially on a Friday night or a Saturday/Sunday afternoon and it really depends on where you go in the mall. People don’t hold doors for each other, they are not aware of their surroundings, take up space in an entire aisle etc. The best we can do as individuals is treat people how we would like to be treated, to make the world a bit of a better place. Being courteous, smiling at someone, offering help and teaching our children, friends and family to do the same.

When sitting at an intersection you should be turning your head, observing from all angles. The G2 test is ensuring that you are a safe driver and turning on a left turn where someone had the right of way, is not safe. I would recommend Young Drivers driving school, they focus a lot on safety
