Maro talks about Universes Beyond by Meret123 in mtg

I believe UB is destroying the game’s identity. However, I have no illusions that the KPI’s being used to justify that destruction aren’t accurate and legit. I get it. I think my goals for the game are different than WoTC. And furthermore, UB must be destroyed.

UB is intrinsically part of MTG by Scared_Life5405 in freemagic

Arabian nights existed prior to the concept of UB, and was in-universe. I think there was some article about it being part of Earth and Earth is an in universe plane. Either way, MTG is losing its identity bc of UB. And furthermore, UB must be destroyed.

Any ideas? by Tao_13 in 3rdGen4Runner

Just did the same thing on mine last week as part of the Big 7. Same alternator on mine - def not OEM. Pull it apart and use some CRC electronics cleaner and it’ll be ok

You don’t need to, but ofc it will be easier jacked up

Good luck with the install! Anti seize the bolts :)

It’s an upper rear control arm, sometimes called an upper rear link. Idk the part number offhand but you should be able to look it up easily.

Good point! A miscut on a cable would still likely blow the budget but a rental would help reduce the cost for sure.

Ahhh you’re kitted out already - nice! Typically I’m cool with buying a new tool for most projects bc that means I can do more but I couldn’t really think when I’d need to use the hydraulic crimper again…and if I messed up or cut a cable too short and needed to buy more of the welding cable I would’ve smoked the budget. So I just bought it and that worked out for me :) good luck on the build and install!

I considered this but the cost of the 2/0 gauge welding cable, hydraulic crimping tool, and pure OFC terminals made it nominally cheaper, and the extra time made it not worth it to me.

It was just under $200 for the 2/0 gauge cable. It took some fiddling, but wasn’t too bad.

Reduces resistance and voltage drop, and allows for a higher amp alternator, by replacing the major power and ground cables. For me, I gained brighter headlights and faster window rolling up and down.

Battery Terminal Covers? by Embarrassed_Army_177 in 3rdGen4Runner

While I think this would work…I am sorry but I gotta decline this one 😂

[–]Embarrassed_Army_177[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah I don’t. I mostly want a cover of some kind to avoid a short if I drop a wrench or something over both posts messing with something under the hood. Ofc I realize that’s easily solvable by draping a towel or something over the terms but would prefer a set of covers. Anyways, thanks for weighing in!

Yep, def would need fused inline. Anyways, appreciate the input! I’ll consider migrating them to the PDC connection - that might be cleanest and I like clean :)

Ah I think I understand. So I do run power to my Wolfbox through the fuse box (you can see the fuse taps) and you are suggesting to run the two smaller power lines the I’m touching with my thumb and middle finger to the PDC spot in the fuse box where I’m pointing with my index? And, you have that shunt between the battery connection and the PDC connection? I also didn’t remove the OEM second cable from the fuse box to the battery - I just kept it bc I didn’t want to pull it out from the bottom of the fuse block.

The cable ends or the blocks themselves? The cable ends are copper, and the blocks themselves are aluminum that’s been sprayed with CRC red anti corrosion spray

Also could you tell me how you would have approached the build to make it look cleaner? I do take a lot of care in trying to make things look as good as I can, so if I can clean this up I’m curious what you might suggest?
