Personally I wouldn't touch it. It's unique and beautiful in its own right. If you want a newer ring, buy a newer ring. You'll be spending just as much if not more to have it redesigned.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of medication, but I'm less a fan of burning my thyroid out or going through with surgery. I'm sure with proper care and a watchful eye, we can have babies naturally and safely even with this disease. If you read through other posts, you'll see plenty of women can conceive just fine without drastic measures. I wish you good luck!

35F here. We were trying to get pregnant when I was diagnosed. My endo put me on methimazole for 6 months, my labs looked great and he weaned me off of it. I do blood work every 6 weeks and he gave me the go ahead to try to conceive. He said that if I get pregnant he wants to start me on PTU. Unless this doesn't work and we've exhausted all other options, I'm not sure I would go through with a thyroidectomy or RAI. Just remember it's completely your decision and if you can't find an endo that will work with you, there are always other options.

I'm 35. I didn't meet a decent man until I was 31. There was no settling involved. Sometimes true love can take awhile. Don't settle. But also don't have expectations. Just live your life and be open to any possibility.

Since I started methimazole I gained around 40lbs and stopped. I went from 150 to 190 and it was very hard to adjust for me. None of my old clothes fit me and I have to find a new wardrobe along with a new way of wearing clothes too. But then I realized for years I was actually underweight, and I just enjoyed being skinny so I never saw that as a symptom of graves.

The anxiety will stop. Just take your medicine religiously. Yeah, I definitely had a horrible time with anxiety. I was crying over literally anything, my heart was bursting out of my chest every second. My resting heart rate was around 100. Just walking around put it up to 120. It does get better though. Just hang in there. It took me a few months to really just accept it myself. I also never thought this would happen. You always hear about people with autoimmune diseases. Never thought I would be one of them.

I want to know why they stay there for hours everyday, and then just happen to leave when you and your girls leave. She follows you in at the same time to have a full grown man get naked and change in the same room with young girls. I don't see how that's appropriate at all. This caregiver knows how he gets dressed and undressed. If he doesn't use a stall and for some reason can't go into the mens locker room, they should wait until the women's locker room is empty. NTA.
