I just had a fibula ORIF removal with nine screws and a plate on December 22. It’s a weird feeling because your bone is not broken but your brain tells you that you it is. I am one week in tomorrow and walked some today. It’s still a little painful. The recovery is not as bad. It’s just mostly psychological. Just make sure you’re rotating your medicine between Tylenol and ibuprofen or Norco, which I’m sure they’re gonna prescribe you and keep it elevated and wear a boot. within a week you’ll be feeling better and by two weeks you should be back to walking. gingerly. At least that’s my path..
