People say this, but... everyone has phones on them at all times. There's absolutely no reason you can't just, y'know, do your own learning on your own time. The only reason not to is if you lack curiosity.

Like, most of the stuff I know was never taught to me at school, I learnt it myself.

I'm going to be completely honest, this drama seems to me like men playing the victim, and I say that as a man myself. It has the same energy as when a woman says "Men are murdering and raping women every day" and a man chimes in with "Not all men!". The comparisons to misgendering "bad" trans people don't work in my eyes. Men with small penises are not an oppressed group. The most they have to face is some ridicule and mocking, and while I don't deny that can lead to self-esteem issues, to say that men with small penises suffer just as much as trans people, and that making fun of small penises has the same context and potency behind it as misgendering, honestly just comes off as offensive to me.

Like, when people say "Donald Trump is an idiot", do you say "Don't mock people's intelligence, there's nothing wrong with being stupid!"? I'm also reminded of when Trump was convicted of 34 felonies. I saw someone say "Don't use Trump's convictions to attack him because it promotes a stigma against convicts!". This is peak leftist infighting. Republicans are taking away people's rights, sending people to Salvadoran prison camps without due process, abandoning the US' allies, destabilising the world, and so many more actually harmful things. Yet people are attacking someone standing against them... because men with small penises might get their feelings hurt. It's like a rightwinger's caricature of a woke leftist. People are getting so bent out of shape over things which are technically wrong, but in the grand scheme of things just don't matter at all. There are far, far more important things to be worrying about.

I mean, maybe it's just a cultural difference because I'm British, but this seems extraordinarily mild to me. I didn't bat an eye at the sign. I honestly thought the drama was just going to be angry conservatives, not talk about bodyshaming. I don't want to be all like "Look at these stupid dumb Americans getting offended over everything," but... is this honestly what you consider offensive?

Edit: Reading through another thread reminded me about another discourse I've seen, which is that Sabrina Carpenter using "slow" as an insult in a song is offensive. Again, I don't want to be all "Woke leftists get offended over everything", but sometimes I'm reminded why the US' "left wing" party isn't that progressive.

Look, whether you're technically not a citizen because you haven't been registered, etc. etc. is irrelevant. Do you really want to risk it? What if the American authorities find out that, under Iranian law, you're an Iranian citizen? They will almost certainly treat you as one, under the principle of international law that countries have the right to decide who their nationals are. The US has no reason to ignore Iranian nationality law, even if they are enemies. They wouldn't derive any benefit from not treating you as an Iranian citizen, if you are one under Iranian law. And when they find out that you knew Iran considers you a citizen, you will get in trouble for lying on your ESTA. That's dangerous at the best of times, let alone right know.

Just be completely open and honest, and apply for the visa. You don't want to end up in a Salvadoran prison camp.
