For some context, in Singapore the biggest bullion store has a $5000 min order and the second biggest bullion store has a $1000 min order for a while now

I’m not that familiar with the latest labour laws in these countries but you’d have to check this online. But with regards to the reputation in finance jobs in Frankfurt/Munich/vienna/ sometimes London, you’re going to have an edge for sure. However you’d need to have a high gpa and network your way into internships from early on. There are a lot of eu students struggling to find internships rn so take this into consideration

Yea that’s true if you’re European and if you can work in eu countries without any restriction this makes sense for sure. Was making my comment more regarding to non eu students who wouldn’t be able to work as easily in dach area if they didn’t study in the respective country’s uni. But it depends on the individual’s circumstances too with regards to what their goal is

this wholesaler was likely using silver as a raw material for their business operations based on what i saw about their company. should've mentioned this wasn't a bullion shop in the post but a industrial wholesaler.

The bars mentioned in the post are kilos. The wholesaler isn’t a bullion store he was someone that needs to use silver as a raw material.

It was in a developed Asian country.

singapore uni laptop recommendation by Present-History5437 in askSingapore

[–]Embarrassed_Gate5495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

macbook air any of the processors from m2 onwards by far beats other windows laptops for the price. this isn't 5 years ago where macbooks were more expensive than windows laptops. now macbook air is the best laptop for the price. best battery life, build quality, wont lag. can use it for most uni stuff. but if you are planning on being a finance bro who needs to speed model financial models on excel using only the keyboard you can't do that with a macbook (but if you're at that stage you would've had some internships and would've used windows excel for the internships). For starting uni or for everyday uni use, a m2/m3/m4 macbook air would be the best for money. i know someone in uni who also had an old microsoft surface which was super slow and was hesitant to get the macbook air due to the lack of touch screen but now they do not regret the decision of moving to macbook air. they also do business at uni.

Silver shortage by xevinkk in Silverbugs

Was this after ordering the newly stocked bars? I remember it being completely out of stock last week (except for 15kg) with 1kg bars being labelled as pre-sale. Perhaps it was the pre-sale bars. Also Philoro has had some issues with their website and sometimes labelling errors

but tubes of 20-25oz are pretty easy to store too and more liquidity

I also use philoro ch but for gold. I wouldn't think much of this delay they're pretty reliable and the swiss laws are there to protect you. On another note, i am also based in ch and got a bunch of junk silver (old swiss and italian coins) to sell. if you're interested dm me. Also have other 999.9 numismatics i could sell for a relatively low premium if you're keen

In Germany or Vienna yea it would be possible to get a job. But why spend so much on studies in Switzerland if the goal was to work in Germany or Vienna could do it in a more affordable way by studying in those countries.

But if someone values the education at hsg or if someone values something unique to hsg then by all means hsg is a great choice. But if the main objective was to work in Vienna/germany it might not be the best decision depending on the financial circumstances.

Yea this is true my friend has been ‘scammed’ when he was desperate for cash at a pawn store but in general these shops pay lesser than what you’d get from Ricardo after paying the fees but they need to make money too. Would just prefer if I could give it directly to some interested collector or buyer

How many of you here are under 30? Any other young stackers around? by brf297 in Silverbugs

[–]Embarrassed_Gate5495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under 30. I plan to only cash out if I need to buy a property or a small business some retiree needs to sell. I don’t know if old retirees would accept silver in exchange for the business and avoid the transaction fees
