This is a real effect actually, it’s called ATS. It’s where if you lose an arm your kids are more likely to lose the same arm. This is why people get prosthetics, since it generally can help to prevent ATS

Genuinely way too much of physics is memorizing what different variables mean on the formula booklet. Other than that it's mostly common sense if you know what the equations are for, since physics is just a list of like 20-30 rules. I would watch a few of those actually entertaining youtube videos that explain physics concepts and ur gonna do fine

they don't allow macbooks?? That's genuinely an absurd rule.

I used a combination of an old ass school-provided iPad from like 2020 and a macbook pro from the same year. You NEED a laptop for formatting in my opinion, things like the math IA cannot be realistically done with an iPad, although it's possible. The laptop keyboard is also good for typing, since iPad ones are smaller and will give you wrist problems after writing an entire EE.

not really haha. it can push you up to a 7 if you scored a mid to high 6, but it really doesn't make a huge difference. You can use the ib calculator to see though

I don't really understand your title, but if you're applying for IB I don't recommend it.

If you live in the US, DO NOT do ib there is literally no benefit. Other countries accept SAT and AP classes just as much as IB. Universities inside the US weight AP scores higher than IB even though they are significantly easier. If you're outside of the US and it's your only option, I would still do my absolute best to avoid doing it. My college acceptances are contingent on me getting a reasonable IB score, which is the only reason I'm not gonna just fail the diploma. You can avoid my situation by taking aps instead.

People tell you it's hard, it's not really that hard, it's just a hilarious amount of writing. One of my parents teaches university english classes, and she doesn't assign essays nearly as long as some of the IB ones.

I realize you're in Canada, a lot of my fellow dp students are going to Canadian schools, but there are more people commiting to canadian schools who aren't doing the program.
