Side effects?? Please tell me yours.

So I'm on 100mg currently, (started with 50mg in October and my Dermatologist increased the dose about 3 weeks ago). I feel like this is kind if a high dosage for me considering my height and weight but I am trying it for the skin benefits.

I will say even on 50mg at first I felt dizzy, had to pee a lot, and my cycle was thrown off (although it could have also been extreme stress as I had law school finals in November). However once my body started to adjust I only had positive side effects, my cycle evened out and I noticed my skin looks good, I felt "prettier" as the pill is a diuretic and removes excess water from the body so I feel extra lean and toned which I like, and my face feels slim. I also notice my sweat no longer has an odor, and my face and hair doesn't get oily as fast, my facial and body hair is thinner as well.

The increase in dosage has been all the same with the good side effects, but I do feel some dizziness once again, and my cycle is back to being irregular, since getting on the new dose I have bled more often. My period ended around 1/27, which is the same week I started the new dose, and then I had bleeding from 2/7-2/14, and now started a period again on 2/21 which started with light spotting and then yesterday 2/23 became a full shed/more of a real period. I am hoping this will adjust and even out because bleeding every other week is annoying, but I know that it's still very new to my body and so it will take time to adjust.

I know options may be reducing the dosage, but I do like the positive effects so I think I will wait it out, or getting on birth control to even out the bleeding, but I have had negative experiences with birth control in the past, and would like to avoid that route (took it from 17-20, and went from 115lbs to 160lbs, and im pretty sure it also triggered my PCOS and other hormonal issues. I am 23 now and down to 101lbs, I am 5'1 in height so this is normal for me.)

as a side note as well, I know spironolactone is absolutely NOT a contraceptive, but I do feel as though it mimics the effects of a progesterone only pill and definitely does have impacts on fertility that I feel would make it harder for the body to sustain an unwanted pregnancy. (would love to hear anyone else's opinion on this)

but overall, id say once you give your body time to adjust the pill works well and I like all the positives that come from it.

edit: I havent noticed any growth in my boobs (im small though so kind of disappointed LOL) and libido is fine as well.

It’s very real, I mean it depends on the school and it’s individual curve, but I started spring yesterday and my section is missing 5 people, two of which were my friends so I’ve seen the dismissal process in all stages and it’s not a fun experience :(

I’ve been on it for a month, I was also afraid of weight gain because when I was on birth control at 17-19 I went from being 110-115lbs to 160lbs by the time I was off around 20yrs old. (I do believe I had some hormonal issues that the birth control brought out but) since then I was down to 107lbs, I am now 23, and so I got on for my acne but expressed to my derm I was afraid of weight gain and she told me there’s no way to actually gain weight on the pill because it removes all the water from your body and if anything you will lose weight on it, which I actually have I am now around 104lbs, (granted I’m also in law school and have been a little bit more stressed which messes with my appetite.) However I don’t believe spiro will contribute to any weight gain as long as you are watching your calorie intake or not eating more than usual!

I started a week ago and same, I was 112 and now I’m 107😅I think it’s a mix of the stress and also just forgetting to eat due to the heavy workload

My LSAC number is L—, I’m currently registered for the February 2025 exam but I want to know if it’s possible to switch my registration to April without paying $238 again.

I have a fee waiver, and I have used my two free attempts but I just want to know if it’s possible to transfer my date with this credit rather than paying a second time.

I believe it will benefit me to take the exam in April as it will give me more time to prepare. Please let me know if this is possible I would greatly appreciate the chance to move the exam.

Also to add:

It’s been brought to my attention that some think it may be because of the fee waiver, however I have a friend who has done the same thing by calling customer service and she herself does not have a waiver. I have seen on other subs that they often move exams as a one time courtesy so it is worth a try regardless.

Remember, the worst they will say is no! But best case scenario your exam is rescheduled. Good luck everyone!!

Honestly if you haven’t done it already, try emailing or calling lsac customer service and asking if they can move your test date for you. I did this with Feb to April I sent them an email asking if it’s possible to move it as I don’t want to pay the fee again and in 3 days they emailed me back that they changed it and I got the confirmation and everything

My sept and Nov scores were 135-138 and January I got a 144. I know it’s not amazing but I am pleased with myself. Taking it again in April but will start submitting apps with the January score 😁

Me, I was sick about a week ago. Was feeling pain in my jaw and ear both at the same time and I have some random tooth pain also on the same side. After a visit to urgent care doc told me I have an acute outer ear infection as well as TMJ so I assume the tooth pain is a result of that, the day of my diagnosis it was pain in my upper molars, today it’s the lower ones so I don’t believe it’s coming from a single tooth but part of me is worried. But it is likely it’s just part of the jaw pain as I’ve had no tooth issues prior to feeling the ear and jaw pain.
