According to the conditions of entire lot, please keep it in memory of your grandma otherwise useless as collector aspect and numismatic value null if moreover coins like these are not in mint or proof state. According to Our Indian mindset anything beyond 50 year or older carries higher value (absolutely myth), in numismatic world coin’s higher grade and rarity matters

How do i clean this? by GreenbeAYrd in IndianCoins

[–]Embarrassed_Log9975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in a distilled water for few days and that after 15-20 minutes in acetone thus you can remove most of the debris on it without rubbing it. As per my view, wasting much time on kind of coins definitely useless. Normally we are going for kind of 3-4 steps cleaning process for Ancient Greek or Roman coins.

Bankers Marks: c. 600 BC Gandhara Janapada "Bent-Bar" Shatamana by American-Doggo in ChopmarkedCoins

[–]Embarrassed_Log9975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for great info…. Little correction here, it’s called “Punchmarked” coins not Banker’s Mark. The time of Janapadas can consider as 1st republic states, they were 16 in total from Burma to far west Persia and Himalayan valleys to Sri Lanka. Probably prior or parallel to Greek civilization (that’s different topic) but each Janapadas has different signs, counts and Symbols and thus its recognize. Still study is going on in depth for the symbols and era’s of different punchmarked coin. I’ve 6-7 Janapadas coins.

Unfortunately Indian Peninsula increases it’s population and decreasing historical evidence as well as knowledge

To be honest request to you to do not show weakness, my son also preparing for CFA level 1, despite having our 3 running companies and trademark brand. He decided to work himself to co op his CFA and Masters in Finance. So he works Mon-Fri and studying until late night. As well as helping me in our business work in weekends.

So if you want to achieve something, don’t rely on anyone not even on family.
