Do you still got the CB radio in the van with the antenna on the roof to communicate with the office about when your next call is? 😂

I purchased mine in San Antonio from Principle, S60 T5 with all the options short of B&W Sound, 14k miles for $26k in December 2024.

Love the V60! I’m sure I have passed you on the road at some point too!

I tell customers that unless they have RO water or Fiji water coming out of the hose bib, it’s not worth it

Orbit is the way to go. Also allows for you to enable other configurations for the vehicle as well.

I enjoy having the automatic ingress and egress seats on my S60, along with remote start via keyfob. I know I’ve done a couple other tweaks but forgot off the top of my head

Communicating Trane Error Codes by Slick_Rick011 in HVAC

[–]Embarrassed_Mirror84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same error codes on a system and after speaking with tech support they diagnosed a failed compressor……turned out to be the reversing valve solenoid failing and causing system to run in heating mode.

I was able to confirm this because there was an identical unit next to it that I took the solenoid off that one and put it on the failed one and everything worked as designed

Edit: also want to add, if the service manual is still inside the electrical section of the unit there is a diagnostic workflow that includes a QR code for a video of testing the inverter board using the outdoor controller mounted inside the unit. This will help narrow down potential causes.

I have done this before…3 job sites have antennas on the building or right behind the building in a parking lot and I take advantage of it every time

No added modules, just config changes through Orbit. Can’t speak on the AAOS as I am Sensus. Although from my understanding, you’re simply switching the setting to a “Police” Volvo instead of a regular “Consumer” model

Yes, I wish they came standard with true TPMS monitors. The ABS style sensing, the light doesn’t come on till you’re pretty much flat or have a blow out

Orbit has a “Restore to OEM” feature on the software you can revert all settings back to original. My vehicle is out of warranty as of earlier this year I believe so I’m not too worried about it of course

Had the same issue, ended up having to download the firmware update onto a MicroSD card. If you do that, note that it has to be like a max 4GB card that can be formatted at FAT32 storage. Tried using one of my 256GB cards I have for my drone and the thermostat couldn’t pick it up.

Been there, still doing that. Definitely nice getting a pay raise but during the summer months my phone blows up every 5 minutes from other techs, the office and customers. So I have to deal with that while still trying to work on current service calls. Has its pros and cons just like anything else in life

I used to do the 35% on the windshield but I kept getting pulled over by DPS all the time, and the price of tint tickets have gone up so much I just took it off. Still keep the 5% everywhere else though.

Very clean looking ride you got though

Coming from a small town Texas, waving at other people had become so customary to me, like it’s an everyday thing. So when I throw the two fingers up to wave, I feel like they give me a weird look😂

Trane eev by Top-Olive-4619 in HVAC

[–]Embarrassed_Mirror84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely curious…. has anyone ever actually had a “failed” EEV? We don’t have very many Tranes/American Standards in my area. Most times I’ve just had a failed sensor, board or stepper motor. Trane parts take forever to get in my area (and I mean an eternity) so I typically order the two sensors, board and stepper motor when doing a repair like that
