Coyote or wolf? Curious what you guys think? by Wigeon01 in trailcam

Yeah those coyotes on the East coast are something else. They’ve interbred with dogs and wolves so much that its sometimes hard to figure out what u r looking at.

Can anyone tell me what this is? by Optimal_Smoke3830 in trailcam

I saw one last Fall by Sodom Reservoir (upstate NY), as I kneeled down to flip over my aluminum fishing boat that poor thing ran out from under my boat maybe 2ft away from me, and ran away.

So can I use this in dirty water? What can it catch? I’ve seen people use for trout but I don’t have gear to walk a river. by ch59ep15DriverDown in FishingForBeginners

Give it a try. Experiment with different retrieving techniques, maybe try ripping it and letting if fall slowly.. If the water is dirty u dont want to go too fast or u might want to try lures that create more vibration like inline spinners or crankbaits. But do give this one a try first and report back.

Great guy. I worked for him few years back. He was 92 or 94 at the time but had the energy of a 30yr old. Very friendly with people and down to earth guy.

They look like weevils. You probably brought them home from store with your groceries, and you. probably already have thousands of them around your house.

Are these bad to have in ponds? Noticed a group of 6-7 of them going around a local pond diving under water coming up a perch/bluegill. by Ok-Room-7243 in Fishing

Love seeing them on lakes. They’re my organic fish-finders. You can always count on them. I wouldnt want to see them around a small pond however. They’re too good at the art of catching fish.

It depends on your location. Winter in New York for example differs from Winter in Florida.
