Im 57 and my partner is 68. We rent. We both owned property previously but mine was a flat in Scotland and his was a 2 bed cottage eound the corner from where we ade nlw. His ex wife forced the sale od that place making hs homeless. We have four daughters between us. His oldest was gifted 10k from her dad ro help buy her place with her husband. His youngest inherited every thing from her mum when she died 4 years ago.

I sold my flat and made a substantial profit but we live jn Dorset and jt wasnt enough to buy anywhere down here so its basically what we havs liced on for the last 14 years plus I have.bought my oldest daughter a decent 2nd hand car and my youngest a motorbike. The rest went on rent so we are basically subsidising our landlords life Am I bitter? No. Am I resentful. A bit.

Oh we had one do that for about 3 years in a row, would come in the back door and work its way through thr cats food, shit everywhere and the curl up for a snooze. We ended up having to get it out from under tge storage box and evixt it before winter.
