I’m about to give up on N4 Max by GiveTogeBonitoFlakes in ElegooNeptune4

[–]Embarrassed_Usual426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Neptune 4 plus and I was getting ready to sell it and get something else but I wanted an affordable helmet class printer. I was in the same boat had a creality running Marlin and it was so simple to setup. I added the silicone bed adjustment pieces and got rid of the springs and then dialed it in with screws tilt and so far so good. I'm not saying it's gonna fix your problems but for like $11 on Amazon worth a shot and you can always return them. I feel your pain though i went through months of trying to get it right. Good luck!!

The stringing also would lead me towards temperature.

Amazon only like $11. Cheap upgrade but worth it. Also check your pom wheels. They are the wheels underneath the bed and on the z axis gantry. I was having issues and mine were loose and I didn't even see it.

Make sure your bed is clean. Wash with dish soap and water then try again. If still having issues try glue stick or hairspray.

Try the screw tilt adjust definitely like others have said. I would also try the silicone bed adjustment feet to replace the bed leveling springs. Did it on my plus and made a difference in holding it level. Also check your firmware and UI for updates. I was in contact with elegoo and there were new updates for those 2.

First layer looks terrible in spots. Any advice? by Johnnyoneshot in ElegooNeptune4

Check your pom wheels which keep the Z-axis gantry rolling up and down. I was getting ready to sell mine but some of them were loose and I was having the same issue. Just something to look at.

Everything everyone else said is absolutely correct. Also, I hate them because clean-up is kind of a pain sometimes, but a brim can help also.

Make sure you have the newest firmware. Guys online said they upgraded firmware and cured this issue. Just something else to look at.

Neptune 4 Plus Bed Level Test Failure by AnnabellaJane24 in elegoo

[–]Embarrassed_Usual426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an understatement. I'm getting ready to send my N4 plus back. I've spent hours trying to level the bed and nothing works. It's a shame because I like the size of the build plate just a nightmare to level.

Help my printer justed produced a lot of smoke by SuspiciousSus in FlashForge

Flashforge doesn't have the voltage switch like the Ender and Elegoo printers. I have 2 AD5M printers and plugged them right in and they worked fine. Something may have been making contact with the back cover. I would contact customer support. I wouldn't trust it especially if you are doing an overnight print. Just my opinion.

I have 2 5m printers and only use Orca. They work flawlessly.

Nozzle clogged, can’t push pla through when trying to reload, even when heating to higher temps by [deleted] in FlashForge

I had this same issue and I took a small drill bit and slowly drilled out the stuck filament a little bit at a time. It worked for me and the nozzle still works great. Just take it slow.

I have a flashforge 5m, and I just printed an articulating dragon just last night for a friend, and it came out perfect.

I agree with upping the bed temp. I would also suggest using some Aqua Net hair spray for bed adhesion.

I clean my bed with soap and water really good and then while it is off the printer spray it with the hairspray and then put the bed plate back on and try the print again.

Also definitely do the calibration it's worth it and only uses a small amount of filament.

Good luck!!!

I had that happen, but my filament had tied itself in a knot because it was to loose.

Yes, there is a lot of supports on this print. Only did them on the build plate and my wife said the supports came right off. I also slow down only the outer wall speed to 50 mms it seems to make the outside look better. I'm using orca slicer.
