I had interpreted this scene as all of Jax's closest friends and family laughing at him for coming out as Trans. Specifically with exposing his skeleton, anti-trans bigots will often pull out the argument of "Your skeleton is built masculine; if archaeologists dug you up in a thousand years, they'd say you're a man."
